I really enjoyed this book watching as they work together to solve the case. I thought it was interesting seeing them internationally and to many different places to see as the body trails were starting to go upward and figuring out who was behind this branch of what is going on. There was a few close calls and it was interesting how they work together to get out of the tight spots as well as seeing how Ghostly people were helping as well. Because this is the crew of hunters clearly there is going to be a go someone paranormal around to help where they can. This book is clean which I appreciate. I just really enjoyed this mystery suspense novel with a bit of paranormal thrown in if that's your kind of thing you might really enjoy this. I can't wait to see what's next in the series.

I think I heard that this turned into a movie which peeked my interest. The idea of someone controlling the weather also sounded pretty cool so I decided to check this book out. So Hodaka runs away to the city of Tokyo when he meets the very girl who controls the weather and from then on this book turns out to to be a very good start. I thought this book was a nice introductory and enough makes me what to learn more about these characters and what's in store for the following books.

So I haven't read a historical fiction book in a bit I usually have a hard time following along and have a hard time connecting to this but from the very start this book had gotten me intrigued that I just wanted to know more about it. I am a fan of mystery novels which could be why it was easier to get sucked into and this book was a pretty good gruesome at times mystery book. What I did find refreshing is that it didn't include a romance at all, I'm so used to reading romance or mystery / romantic suspense novels that are heavy on the romance in between solving crimes and this book did not need that all. I really enjoyed reading this book, I read it as a ARC ebook but I'm going to have to have a physical copy of this book to add to my library so I can share it with others who might enjoy and get to reread it again because it really is a good book.

All I know is that someone mentioned that this book was able a carnival and I has just finished reading Caraval and was looking for another book that would suit my love of carnivals. First of all can we just take a moment to prevaricate the beauty that is that cover, its such an eye catching book that even if I didn't know what this book was about I would've picked this book up simply because of that cover. That story line was interesting and I give this book props for being a unique story. I can definatly say I haven't read another book like this which I really appreciate. I loved the characters and how the book progressed in the story. I will admit that I was a bit confused about the curse but as the story went on it slowly became clear enough for me to understand what was going on. When it came to Emma man it must of sucked being her and having to make that choice as picking a new person for the box and I couldn't help but think if I was in her shoes  it would've been tough for me to make that decision that she was placed with. I honestly cant say more without spoiling the book but if you love books that feature unique carnivals then this book might be for you, I really enjoyed it!

To be honest this was a cover pick but seriously can you blame me? Look how stunning the cover is, its really beautiful and lovely to have on display on my shelf. So after finishing reading this book I will admit it took a bit to get used to. Not sure if it was just a slow paced book, if I just wasn't in the mood or what. After finding out what the book was about I thought it sounded interesting enough. I haven't read a book with a magic aspects in a while so figured maybe I'd be into it. With how good it was though I think in the near future I will reread this book and maybe my point of view of it will improve with a second look. Doesn't help that I find historical types of book a bit daunting and I don't usually go for that type of book then put in a whole fictional world I'm not familiar with wasn't the best but I'm glad that I got a chance to read this book. The characters were interesting, I loved that there was the dual point of views between Gray and Sophie so I got a bit of insight to their characters. I thought that the various types of magic being used in this book was interesting. You know what it would be hard for me to describe what I did and didn't like about this book without spoiling it for you. But if you were to ask me would it be worth your time to check it out, I would say yes because overall it was a pretty good book in general.

Its the best way I can describe this complicated book. Getting ahold of this book was me branching out of my comfort zone. For the most part while reading this book there was a lot of moment were I can confused af that I kept going just to figure out what was going on. Then I'm questioning if what was going on was real or not sure. There was so much going on, personally for me it was too much and overwhelming at times because I had a hard time following what was going on. There was plenty going on with a bunch of different character perspectives and different timelines that was introduced. At the end of the it all it was a pretty good book, and definitely worth a reread so that I can understand the book more.

A couple years back I had met the author which is why I was drawn to this book. When the second book of the Trylle Trilogy came out and I went to NYC to get my books signed. I know I have a picture of me and her buried in my computer of that day but she seemed like a pretty cool person and I really loved her books. The second thing that drawn me to this book was the beautiful cover because it's really well done and even without reading the synopsis I would've swiped it off the shelves to purchase because of how it looked. After reading the synopsis I was sold to wanting to get my hands on this book because it sounded like something I would really love to read. I got this as a ARC on my kindle so when I head to the books store I'll be sure to buy myself a copy because this book belongs on my bookshelves. :-)

Anyways It's been awhile since I've read a paranormal book and this book reminded me why I like the genre. I loved the characters and how some points of the book managed to surprise me. I loved that there was hits of clues when it came to a certain character and I couldn't help but think to myself I know what that character is I was just waiting for it to be revealed and loved that my guess was correct. As for Mara I wished what was revealed about her wasn't done towards the end because it seemed rushed when it came to the time where everything seems to go nuts but it was still enjoyable. You don't understand how hard it is for me to be vague as possible and still want to be able to talk to others about this book because it really was a great book and I really enjoyed it.

If you are looking for a great paranormal read with a set of interesting characters then look no further because you'll want to get your hands on this book! Highly Recommend.

So this book is based off on a modern day time but with people using the lavish looks and items of the past.Danica witnesses the young king murder someone. Rather then aiding her mother managed to use Danica as a pawn to marry off to the young king when shes is of legal age and this murder issue will just disappear. Danica knows her time will soon be up and will do everything she can to get out of this situation but needs the funds to get out. That's where Glitter (a drug) comes into play if she's able to sell enough she could be free from the life chosen for her.

This was one of those cover buy kind of things. I thought this book had a beautiful cover so I ended up getting it. Mind you never read the description, I probably wouldn't had picked up this book if I had known what this book was about. Honestly it took a bit of time for me to get into this book was because of the drug dealing aspect. I'm not really into that kind of thing, but I've been trying to branch out that the cover is beautiful so this would be me taking a chance. 

Overall I thought that this book was pretty good, the characters were interesting. Poor Danica just wants to live her life, but with her mothers selfish agenda and that d-bag king, things don't look good for her. I didn't like her father too much he had let himself be consumed by his addiction trading one for another, maybe he could've came to her aid when her mother was coming up with her schemes. Like I would like to describe more but hard to do without spoiling the book. There is only one point of view, which I'm not really a fan of. I'm more of a multiple POV type of person simply because I like to know the movies of whats going on in the minds of those characters surrounding the main one. The storyline was unique I mean I can't recall anything like this. It was a bumpy start for me, I being that this is a duology I am intrigued enough to want to see what is in store for the next book.

I knew it was a mistake to read this book before the last one is out. I actually thought that this book was the last one which is why I started this series. I first thought that this book was a trilogy. When I did end up finding out that there was another book after, I was already in deep and wasn't about to stop now. I'll just reread the books that way my mind is refreshed when the next books come out. 

If you haven't started this series you really are missing out on something great. I loved that this book didn't revolve around romance like I come across in many young adult books. I mean there is a tiny bits but it isn't centered about the books. The main goal is to get rid of Dorthy and that was that. I loved that there was so much going on. I mean I loved the first book, the second book was OK, didn't do much for me, then there's this book so much going on and I just couldn't put it down. This might be my favorite book out of the series. I loved getting to see the change in different characters. I enjoyed seeing Amy have that internal battle with herself when it came to power and how it was changing her. Overall fantastic highly recommend you lovely readers check out this book!

Unlike the movie there was no happy munchkins and everything seemed like crap, on top of that Dorothy is somehow the bad guy and Dorthy is under the wings of the wicked witches. Amy is some how left with one mission: Killing Dorthy.

I gotta admit I tried picking up this book many times before and this book just didnt do it for me. Then I found out that my local library had an audiobook and it was the right choice for me. Everything seemed more colorful and lively listening to the readers voice.

I loved how topsy turvey things was in this book. I loved how nothing is as it seems and I kept getting surprised with each reveal. I loved that there were plenty going on to keep me hooked. This book was a gorey and interesting at times. This book ... or audio book was hard to stop once I started it. Thankfully I have the next book with me so after this review I'm going straight forward I need to know what happens next.

All I'm going to leave you with is that this book is fantastic and I loved it. Highly recommend you lovely readers to check out this book!

So here's a few things that I want to point out before my review. One that I didn't know that this book had fae, sprites or whatever. Never been into those fairy creatures and if I would've known that I would've never picked up this book. Yes I'm well aware that it points it out straight away in the description but I guess I wasn't paying attention and that cover really caught my eye so I wanted to read it.

Besides that, I have to say that I loved, Loved this book. There was go much going on with never a dull moment. Like there is so much action going on that you'll end up stuck with this book till the very end which may or may no have happened to me. I just stuck on the couch all day barely did anything else. This book will keep you gripped from the very start, it just jumps right into it. I loved the characters, the back stories and the secrets that slowly get revealed. There is so much to love about this book and yet hard to describe without spoiling this book. So I'll leave you with this - You need to read this book, like right now. Or at least bump it to the top of your tbr list because you're not going to want to miss this. My only problem now as of now is that I've finished this book and I need to get my hands on the second, like right now. Sigh.

This months OwlCrate theme is Steam Punk and out of the 3 months of using this service I have to tell you that this box is my favorite and I had use for each and every item in this box. As for the book, it was called Everland by Wendy Spinale. So here's what I got:

I wish I got a better shot of that ring but its really cute, it based of The Infernal Devices. It was designed by Sparks Emporium.

Then there's the Skeleton Key by Crystal Compass Designs. Soon as I saw that necklace I put it on straight away. It has a long chain and its super cute and I loved it.

The other key item, is from Elope. It's labeled Metal Accessories, its a broach or pin. I'm thinking I might put it on a hairclip because I don't use pins much but I'm in love with that key and it needs to be used and shown off. The details are incredible.

Some other items that came in the box was the steamp punk inspired nails wraps. I don't use them often and find them pricey in general and was glad to have gotten them in this box. Also there is like 2 weeks worth of nail wraps, so basically when I instantly ruin on while putting on or so I can go for the back ups which is handy. Also there is a link to how to put them on so that's helpful.

Temporary Flash Tattoos based off the book was also included in the box in the shapes of Cogs, Wings and such. So cute.

The last bookish item recieved was the Art Print by Creative Daffodil Studios as a tribute to J.M. Barrie. Its a Peter Pan inspired print.

Last night I refused to go to sleep until I had finished this book. It was that good.

I loved this book it was so imaginative, fun, and enjoyable. I loved when I can come across retelling, even better if its steampunk another genre I don't really come across. When I do I'm never disappointed. I loved this book. There is so much to love, the characters, the fact that you'll get different point of views from multiple characters including Hook. I thought this was a really great reimagining of a classic. There was plenty of action going on from the very start to draw the readers in. I want write more about this book on why I loved it to much but you should see for your self. Bump it to the top of your TBR list you'll be happy you did.
