She's My Knight, Vol.1

She's My Knight, Vol.1

Genre : Manga, Romance, Contemporary, Shojo, Comedy, Humor,
Haruma Ichinose, 17, has been popular since he was born. So popular, in fact, that he figured no one could even come close...until he met Yuki Mogami. She's tall, cool, collected, and totally makes him crazy. He may just be in love...but can he deal with falling for someone even more dashing than himself?

Ichinose is popular and good looking and he knows it. Mogami is the princely type and it seems Ichinose is  falling for her but isn't sure how to let her know his feelings.

If you are looking for light and fluffy reads then you're going to want to check this one out. This was so funny and corny and I really enjoyed this. It even made fun of itself with the popular romance tropes out there. Like I couldn't couldn't help but laugh to myself a couple of times while reading this. really liked seeing the little moments between the two, seeing how they really felt and was trying to hide it. It was entertaining how self conscious he was liking a girl who was taller then him and seeing the roles kinda reversing between the two where Ichinose kept landing in the role of being more feminine and Mogami swooping in to help. Overall I really enjoyed this cutesy book and look forward to seeing more in the future.

Maaya Kisaragi, 16 years old, finally confessed to her crush...only to be flatly rejected and ridiculed on social media after. To make matters worse, the most popular guy in her grade, Chigira-kun, overheard her despondent muttering about the whole thing. But instead of making fun of her, he comforts her...and proposes an odd solution to her heartbreak
I was looking for a light and fluffy read and this was perfect for that. See Maaya confessed her feelings to her crush and was shot down. The ever popular Chigira overheard her situation and offered her a role to have an unrequited love with him. There was so many sweet moment and it was so cute to watch. It was nice to see how sweet he was with her and you can't help but want to root for the two. But towards the end there was a bit of a moment with a new character so I'm curious to see how that'll turn out. If you are looking for a cute fluffy romance type of book then check this book out.

The new will they-won't they romance from the creator of Teasing Master Takagi-san is here! Ayumu is in love with his senpai Yaotome, but he's sworn not to confess his feelings until he can beat her at the board game shogi... The problem is, his love is obvious to Yaotome, and she can't stop trying to trick him into breaking his vow! Fall in love again, fans of Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, Komi Can't Communicate, and Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie!

Yaotome's the president of the shogi club at her high school, and she's pretty sure that Ayumu, an underclassman and the only other member of the club, has a huge crush on her. They get together to play shogi every day after school, but no matter what she does, she can't seem to get him to confess his feelings! What she doesn't know is that Ayumu has made a pact with himself to reveal his love only after he's beaten Yaotome at shogi for the first time. Yet there's one big issue with this plan...he really sucks!

Okay so this was a slow read but I will enjoyed it. It was pretty cute and very much like the the title you can't help but wonder if Ayumu will finally make it move, not in the game but asking her out. Thing is he won't until he wins a round of Shogi against her. It was pretty cute seeing the interactions, her nervousness and his keeping it cool even if he's a ball of fluff inside. This overall cute book I can't wait to see the next book.

A wistful summer blossoms between two high-school boys finding themselves and each other through a shared love of movies in this moving, dramatic, two-volume BL romance series, perfect for fans of Seven Days, Given, or I Hear the Sunspot.

Chiharu Saeki and Wataru Toda are two high school students who share a common hobby: They love to watch movies. After they meet, they become fast friends, until one day, when Chiharu confesses his love for Wataru. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favorite movies. But the more time he spends with Chiharu, Wataru realizes that he may not only be as unaffected by Chiharu's confession as he claimed to be, but those feelings may also be mutual.
So when it came to this book I jumped right in. Saw the word summer, its currently summer so I figured why not. I have to say that it was a pretty adorable book. Chiharu and Wataru are friends that bonded over a love for movies and with the summer getting closer they decided to visit a couple places that are in some of the films. It was cute seeing the sweet moments going on, there was very little light drama going on. It was interesting seeing what would become of Chiharu's confession and seeing how Wataru handling of it. This was just a sweet read I can't wait to see what's next for these two.

During the summer of his first year in high school, a young man named Hodaka runs away from home to the bustling city of Tokyo. Alone and exhausted, he decides to kill time in a fast food place, where he meets a young woman named Hina who happens to work there. Little does he know that Hina possesses powers that not only affect the weather, but the whole world...

In Weathering with You, Makoto Shinkai dives into topics like love and sacrifice to show how far one boy goes to protect the thing he loves most. This manga reveals the backstories and true thoughts of the characters who stole the hearts of fans and critics worldwide.

I think I heard that this turned into a movie which peeked my interest. The idea of someone controlling the weather also sounded pretty cool so I decided to check this book out. So Hodaka runs away to the city of Tokyo when he meets the very girl who controls the weather and from then on this book turns out to to be a very good start. I thought this book was a nice introductory and enough makes me what to learn more about these characters and what's in store for the following books.
