So the one thing that I didn't expect from this book was that it got political. I mean these characters are following someone they believe who will be the next future president and blogging about it. If I had known that getting into this book I wouldn't have picked up this book. Now that I'm deep into this book I just can't put it down.

This months OwlCrate theme is Steam Punk and out of the 3 months of using this service I have to tell you that this box is my favorite and I had use for each and every item in this box. As for the book, it was called Everland by Wendy Spinale. So here's what I got:

I wish I got a better shot of that ring but its really cute, it based of The Infernal Devices. It was designed by Sparks Emporium.

Then there's the Skeleton Key by Crystal Compass Designs. Soon as I saw that necklace I put it on straight away. It has a long chain and its super cute and I loved it.

The other key item, is from Elope. It's labeled Metal Accessories, its a broach or pin. I'm thinking I might put it on a hairclip because I don't use pins much but I'm in love with that key and it needs to be used and shown off. The details are incredible.

Some other items that came in the box was the steamp punk inspired nails wraps. I don't use them often and find them pricey in general and was glad to have gotten them in this box. Also there is like 2 weeks worth of nail wraps, so basically when I instantly ruin on while putting on or so I can go for the back ups which is handy. Also there is a link to how to put them on so that's helpful.

Temporary Flash Tattoos based off the book was also included in the box in the shapes of Cogs, Wings and such. So cute.

The last bookish item recieved was the Art Print by Creative Daffodil Studios as a tribute to J.M. Barrie. Its a Peter Pan inspired print.

Last night I refused to go to sleep until I had finished this book. It was that good.

I loved this book it was so imaginative, fun, and enjoyable. I loved when I can come across retelling, even better if its steampunk another genre I don't really come across. When I do I'm never disappointed. I loved this book. There is so much to love, the characters, the fact that you'll get different point of views from multiple characters including Hook. I thought this was a really great reimagining of a classic. There was plenty of action going on from the very start to draw the readers in. I want write more about this book on why I loved it to much but you should see for your self. Bump it to the top of your TBR list you'll be happy you did.

Review : Stitching Snow

Things start to get complicated when a ship crash lands near by rather then getting the authorities she helps the pilot Dane so that he can leave quietly. Little did she expect to get kidnapped and sent back to her home where she willingly left with the help of a few people. There is nothing but corruptions and death by the hands of her father the King and his wife where she came from. Review: I really enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of Lunar chronicals I think you'll enjoy this book.If you enjoy a kick butt princess with brains then then this book is for you. I loved getting to know Essie's characters. I loved that even if there was the love interest Dane I wasn't over the top being a romance.I loved that when there were times of trouble she always make sure to keep her and her words of wisdom to help others. I loved that there was always something going on to keep things interesting and to keep the readers on their toes. Overall a great story I really enjoyed it!

My Thoughts:

Going to the Menagerie on her birthday wasn't Delilahs idea of a good time but her boyfriend got her the tickets and her friends were ready to go. Little did she realize that there was more to her then she thought. When she was exposed by her inner beast coming to after witnessing a young wolf girl getting abused by her handlers. From then on things went south when she unknowingly revealed the beast inside her causing her to go from attendee to a sideshow attraction.

So I have to admit this is not at all the type of book that I would normally read. Just knowing that Rachel Vincent wrote this book was enough to spark my curiosity. Plus before I requested to get an ARC of this book through netgalley, I had noticed an advertisement for this book and was excited when I came across this book.

This was a great book, this book had me hooked from the very start that I just couldn't down. When I did put it down wasn't by choice unfortunately life gets in the way and I have to get things done. I loved there was so many different point of views going on which at first caused confusion for me but as they story went on I was able to figure out the different characters and get what was going on. I loved how caring Delilah towards other whether they are human or not. I would love to describe more about how much I loved this book but there is just so much and it would be hard to say without spoiling this book. Trust me this is a fantastic book and you going to want get your hands on this unique and interesting book.

Now for the unfortunate part of getting this book early, the long wait for the next book to come around. Ugh! #bookreaderproblems

Review: Lumière

Review:

This was one of those books where I had no clue what the book was about but just went off the cover of the book. Based off the cover it was easy to make assumptions on how the book like being a book based on the past which normally I don't lean towards reading. I just thought that the cover was pretty and eye catching that I knew I had to see what this book was about.

On the to the content. Now that was no way to end the book. There is so much to love about the book, so much going on that there was never a dull moment.The one thing that I didn't like about the book was Eyelets character, she was rather annoying, nosy, and immature for the first half of the book and became bearable later on. Over time through the book I found myself hooked wanting to know what would happen next. Overall it was a pretty great book and I look forwards to seeing more in the next book.

Wow, I enjoyed this book more then I thought that I would. it doesn't help that I didn't read the description to what the book was about so I pretty much when in blindly. I'm so glad it turned out to be a great story and not a dud because I tend to find more duds when I go in without reading more about it. I found the  story line was interesting and unique. Oh and that ending wow, I wasn't expecting it. Its not a cliff hanger but you'll defiantly want to see more of whats in store for these characters. I loved that there was a dual point of view between the two characters. I'm kind of curious on whose perspective well get in the next book. I loved that there was twists and turns throughout the book keeping things interesting. Overall this was a great book. 

Suzannah Daniels has had an affinity for words for as long as she can remember. She grew up in North Georgia with four brothers, so she learned at an early age to admire snakes and motorcycles. When she wasn't pestering her brothers, she could usually be found reading or writing.

She is the author of Viking's Embrace, a historical romance, and Ghostly Encounter, Book One of her Ghostly series (young adult paranormal romance).

Currently, she lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband of twenty-six years and her teenage daughter. Her son lives nearby. The family pets include a Lab mix, a Basset Hound, a Shih Tzu, and a sweet, little kitty.

My thoughts:

I loved this last installment of the delirium series. It is fast paced, action packed with nearly always something going on. In this book we get Hana and Lena's POV and such a big difference between their two worlds. One talks of war and the other a wedding. On Hana's side I belive that he cure didn't fully take, I would've figured her to be more of a dull robotic type of person who does what's told and not question and do the things she did. 

With and ending like the last book Pandemonium I was hoping a little light would've been shed on the relationship between Lena and Alex. I wanted them to be together. Nearing the end I was so worried about what would happen. When it comes to these kind of love triangles either someone dies, or is left heartbroken and in the ending there was nothing. Lena and Alex relationship was infuriating, I wanted Julian to get the picture and maybe back off of her that way Alex and Lena can get back. I wish Lena would've just told Julian and Alex how she felt. During the ending I thought they were going to get together but then they cut to the ending and I was left confused. 

I'm having a hard time expressing how I feel about the ending I mean when I was reading it I loved it. It made me feel hopeful for the future of the characters thinking of the many possibilities of what the future holds. After a few moments to think about it I hated it. I felt like I was cheated. I wanted something more. Now I'm left with so much more questions. I swear, to me this is just as bad as the other cliffhangers except this one is supposed to be seen as an ending. Whyyyyyy  >_<

Scarlet knows theres something wrong when her grandmother just leaves without a trace and not contact her. With the help of a stranger, Scarlet will go find her grandmother but will find herself in trouble.

(Anyone else find this a wee bit creepy?)

My thoughts

Of all the fairy tales Red Riding Hood was my favorite and I love how the author retells these fairy tales in a unique way. I mean I've read many remakes of many fairy tale and none come close to this Lunar Chronicles series. I love that these retelling of fairy tales have a unique twist of dystopian era and Syfi.

When I heard about this book I was a little worried because I cinders story hasn't ended. I thought that this book was just going to be Scarlets view and I was relieved to find that this story goes back and forth between Scarlet and Cinder to know whats going on. I liked how the author made this complex story that someone managed to merge into one another.

I loved how fast paced this book was, loads of action and fighting. Theres almost always something going on. I liked how pushy Scarlet was and how she stood her ground, when she wanted to find her grandmere and no one was doing anything about she did whatever it took to find her grandmere. I wish I could've seen more with the relationship between Wolf and Scarlet though like I got to see with Kai and Cinder.

With this last picture I just wanted to show off my nails, they arent anything special but because I was bored I decided to paint my nails the same color as the cloak and the sparkling silver reminds me of the Lunars. So I painted the tips of my nails the sparkling silver and on one nail painted a crescent  I'm not quite sure if you can see it from that picture tho.

Oh and I wanted to share this with you, I just figured this out its a prequel to Scarlet on Wolf its called The Queens Army.

Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Theres nothing special about Linh Cinder, shes just young cyborg mechanic who lives with her step mother, two sisters and her best friend android, Iko. When her sister fall ill, she is blamed by her Step mother and sister and gets sent away to be used as a testing subject so her step mother wont have to deal with her anymore.

Slowly information about a past she remembers nothing of starts to resurface revealing her true self. On top of that she keeps crossing paths with the soon to be emperor of Beijing and end up with a romance that was destined to never be.

My thoughts.

I liked this book so much I was too much that I've already started writing half this review before it even finished. I just wanted to say the imagery is amazing. Other then reading my other hobby includes Painting/Sketching and this book has enough descriptions to get me actually itching to draw a picture of what Cinder could possibly look like or the other characters  I love the twist and turns that occur in this book. I've read a lot of adaptions to the Cinderella story and most of them where predictable and this wasn't, I love that I keep getting surprised of what is going to happen next. There is no other Cinderella adaption like this. Even the ending got me curious of what happens next, Thank goodness Scarlet (The next book in this Lunar Chronicles) is out and my library is already in process to get it to me before the end of the week.

(Written after book was read) There is so much to like about this book from the imagery  the way its fast paced, I liked how well the characters were written. I liked that it had a different setting with the whole Dystopia thing, normally when I find a book that's dystopian its based where the US was this book is based in Beijing. With this book what I ended up getting is a book wit humans, cyborgs, androids and aliens. I'm not a big fan of Aliens I believe I've mentioned that before, the only other book I've read with aliens was In The After. Most of what I've come across in this book is different from what I normally read, so this book was kind of out of my reading comfort zone.

What I also liked about this book is that it didn't go overboard with romance or that whole love at first sight kind of thing, you can tell there was a interest between the prince and Cinder but it was subtle. Too many YA books go overboard with the romance and this just has a little touch of if which I appreciate. It wasn't over the top and it wasn't too little, it was just enough romance thrown in.

My favorite character had to be Iko, yea she only lasted like half the book but that "glitch" she had gave her a great and funny personality. I almost kept forgetting that she was an android, even Iko would almost forget. "I have a glitch, too. Sometimes I forget that I'm not human. I don't think that happen to most androids." (That was from the short story Glitch which is a special bonus in the book. If you would like to check out the Prequel Glitch  Click Here ) She is the most girlish robot I've ever heard and I like the little comments she says in the book.

Lena has live her life believing that Love is a disease and everyone must be cured, that she must get cured when she can to not catch it. She seen what it had done to her mother and because of it her mother died for love, or so she thought. The day of her testing some mayhem was caused which led her a later date and also the meeting of a cute new boy. After some time of getting to know the boy she realizes that she has caught the delirium and doesn't want to go back to the life she knew with all their contentedness and unhappiness

I enjoyed this book very much, it has an interesting point of view to see the authors view of the world where love is considered a disease. There was so much going on to be interested. I recommend this book to anyone I can.

Highly Recommend.
The good thing also is that there is going to be a tv series based on the books and you can get a head start of the show by reading this books. The thing I love about reading the books before the whole movie/series things is that while its playing I can compare and contrast and complain (For fun) about what did or didn't happen and how it was supposed to be.

For many years Annah and Elias managed to roam around till the made it to the Dark City meanwhile Abigail Gabriel lived in Vista both leading different lives.

When they finally come together, they find themselves in trouble with the city being overrun by inconcecrated/Mudo (Zombies). With the help of Elias and Catcher they are sent with recruiters to a secure place where they can be safe... for a price. Since Catcher is immune to the infection he must help the recruiters gather supplies and foods and in exchange his friends have a safe place to stay. Soon enough Annah comes to realize they aren't safe as they thought they where and will try to come up with a way to get out. 

My say:

Where has this book been hiding? Just perfect. Finally a great zombie book from Carrie Ryan. The first two books should be chucked out the window and this book should just be the only one left. This book had loads of zombies, a decent amount of action and suspense to keep me wanting more. 

My favorite character is Annah, I love how courageous and selfless she was. She faced danger to help the ones she cares about and helps those who she doesn't even know. Shes also resourceful and smart coming up with ways to help escape when they where in trouble. Shes definitely a quick thinker and managed to narrowly escape many situations that should've left her dead. The only problem was her insecurities about how she looked. She compared her looks to her sister a lot and I just felt like screaming at her, that looks aren't important. I also loved how strong she was and how she didn't depend on any one to help her, She didn't play the victim  When she was in trouble she'd face it head on and take what ever consequence that came with it. She didn't like when she guys tried to fight her battles and defend her, she fought for herself.

So to those who haven't read this trilogy or what ever you'd call it, don't bother reading the first two just skip ahead to this book. The great thing about that too is if you ever do actually take my advice and do just that you wouldn't be missing anything because there is pretty much a recap of what happens in the past books when they talk about old memories.

From that day on Gabrys life has changes as one after another things are turning for the worse, then she meets a stranger and ends up running from the life she once knew. 

My Say

If I had to compare The forest of hands and teeth and this book I would have to say that the first book to this series is the best. This book really was a disappointment. The first book I liked, its wasn't that big of a deal though. I was hoping for the best when I came to read this book and I found that this book isn't even something I would recommend to another or read again. I'm the type of person that when I start a series I don't stop till the end and this book has got me thinking whether I should trudge forth and get to the the last book of this trilogy (If this is a trilogy). I keep hearing good things about the third book so I might read it and hopefully it'll be good.

First of all I didn't like Gabry I thought that she was coward and she made a lot of stupid choices and could've helped save her friends from this situation. There wasn't enough conflict to keep me interested  There was no suspense. A lot of things were predictable that I kept getting bored and putting it down. I felt like it was a book I've read before, and if you've read the first book you'll pretty much know what happens in the second book  because everything is pretty much the same just different names and places. Both stories had the love triangle  an equally annoying main character who is a coward or selfish, they both and both are chased into a another town by either the dead or living. It just felt like there could've been more I enjoyed the first because it was unique but it was still a good but but the second is OK.

If you are reading this series or considering it I don't recommend you read this book. Its not that interesting and there are thousands of other books that are like 100x better then this.
