Professional hockey player Riggs got custody of his teenage sister and things aren't going as smoothly as he hoped. To keep her busy an out of trouble he gets his sister to work at a book store which seems to be working better then expected. Problem is she seems to be getting close to Veronica who seems to have landed herself a cash cow when divorcing her ex which seems a bit sketchy. While tryin to keep them apart Riggs learns that there is more to Veronica then his assumptions.

This was a pretty great book I really enjoyed it. I loved seeing how caring Riggs was while you can see his guarded from those around him you can see how much love and care he has for his sister. With a past like his and his younger sister no wonder they both are a bit guarded and seen as a bit of trouble. Then there is Veronica who is also seen in a different light but there are reasons and I liked seeing Riggs proven wrong but also seeing them fall for one another. I loved seeing the siblings open up more to eachother and try harder to work with one another Riggs sister just wasn't another bratty teen and it was interesting seeing how they worked things out. Overall this was a pretty great book I really enjoyed reading it.

Dax is a hockey player has never seen Regan as anything but a little sister being her brother is a friend of his. When Regan's brother passes away she is left to pick up the pieces. It's been awhile since they've seen eachother and its obvious to Dax that Regan has grown and has issues to deal with that's hard to face just by herself. That's when he proposes they get married only for convenience to help her out but of course there is an attraction between the two that can cause issues.

If you love a good friends to lovers romance book then your going to want to get your hands on this book. Regan was clearly overwhelmed with things in her then her brother dies tragically and Dax was there for her and I loved seeing how that played out. I loved seeing the chemistry and connection between these two and things get pretty steamy at times. This is the type of book that when you start your not going to want to put down. Trust me when I say this is a really great book and your not going to want to miss this. If you also get the chance check out the previous books as well, they also feature the other team mates and their HEA and you get bits and pieces of appearances from times to time which is nice to see what goes on after. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next team player Tacker after hearing bits of what he's going through I'm curious to see what's next in his story.

After receiving a email that his ex is getting married and has a child - his child - he rushes on his way to stop the wedding. Unsure of what to do he takes his ex and the child to his house while they work things out. Both are going through problems and has bitterness to work out but they will. Thing is that the old feelings they had once had hasn't seem to gone away and the attraction seems to be simmering between the two. They really need to work out whats going to happen between the two and the child before things get even more complicated.

I had such a good time reading this, pretty much spent my whole morning reading it. I don't even regret it. I loved seeing the attraction between the two. I was very curious about Gracen's fiance and what was going to happen with that whole mess and wondering if the fiance was gonna stir up things. Then I was wondering how things would workout with Marek and his daughter Lily wondering and seeing how they interacted. Overall I thought that this book was pretty good and I really enjoyed it!

Van plays on the Cold Fury Hockey team and is known for being tough and not much for relationship. His past secrets are whats keeping him from anything serious like relationships. Then it comes his teammate / roommates sister Simone who is very bull headed and knows what she wants and her eyes are set on Van.

I loved seeing that passion between the two. I loved how different author took it when it came to Van's backstory. I mean I figured it was going to turn out generic like most stories which I realize now I can say because I don't want to spoil the book and narrow it down of you. What I can say was that it was unexpected, sad and I liked how different it made his character. Seeing how it impacted Van as a character and how it made a difference in his life. Then there is Simone who seems wild and free and when she goes into something she does it wholeheartedly. I love this book the story line was interesting, I loved the characters, I loved that there was just enough drama to keep things interesting and I enjoyed seeing the banter and passion between Simone and Van. Overall I really enjoyed this book! 

Highly recommend you check this book out but even more to check out the series, you'd appreciate the book more if you do that because previous characters make their appearance and I love getting to see the character I once enjoyed before getting to know their story and appearing from time to time.

I enjoyed the book I loved how outgoing she was, she seems to fit in any random situation that came her way. I loved that shes the type of girl who gets what she wants, just like the person who might be her sister. So not only will there be Lexi point of view there will be Roman and the man that could very much be her father (Brian). I really loved getting Brians point of view it was sweet and interesting. Getting to see this older man and how he felt about the dating and paternity and just everything that was around him I just loved. There was just so many characters to love. Then there was the story line which was interesting. The overall story was fantastic, I'm trying so hard right now to keep spoilers out so I'm going to end this book. Just hear me when I say you really should check out this book and the series because I've been following along and they are pretty great.

Review:

I love a great book with a independent women, Lovey, who can get up back after a bit of hard times, to get on her feet and do what she has to do. Although she needed her brother for a bit of help with housing temporarily she did what she had to do to get money and start her own business and get out there to be a success. Along with that there was a bit of romance, drama with the secret relationships and steamy scenes that made this book quite enjoyable. Then there's Marc who has pretty much all the weight of his team's victory left on his shoulder as the serious captain. He was pretty uptight but then again he got his own issues to deal with. I liked how Lovey balanced out things for him and was able to get him to be a bit better I guess in a way. They just complemented each other is what I mean.This book was my first impression from the author I have to say I really like this book. Overall I thought that this was a great book and look forward to seeing more.

Marc chuckled all the way to the Land Rover dealership, annoying the hell out of his teammate and roommate.

“What the fuck is so amusing?” Army snarled.

“If she wasn’t your sister, I’d call you pussy-whipped.”

“Fuck off.”

Marc laughed outright. “Just never seen you so outclassed, dude.”

“Whatever.”

Marc smirked.

“What am I supposed to do?” Army demanded. “Turn her out onto the streets of Chicago?”

“Of course not. And she knew that.”

“She didn’t even tell me she was coming.” Duncan rubbed his forehead. “Christ. She quit her job. Just when she seemed to be settling down. Last I heard, she had a pretty serious boyfriend too. Guess that’s over.”

A boyfriend? Not fucking likely, the way she’d been looking at him. Marc shot Army a sideways glance as he drove. “She does this often?”

“Eh. She quits. She gets fired. She flits from one job to another like a fucking hummingbird. One boyfriend to another. This guy she was seeing actually lasted more than a few dates. Now all of a sudden she wants to move to Chicago. Jesus.”

“She’s young.”

“She’s not that young. She’s twenty-four. Only three years younger than us. She needs to settle down.”

Marc nodded. “Yeah, but think, man, we were on our own when we were teenagers, basically. We were playing and living in an adult world before we could even drink legally. Pro hockey makes you grow up fast.”

Army sighed. “Yeah. True. Heh. Especially you, Captain Codger.”

Marc rolled his eyes at the nickname. It didn’t bug him as much as it had at first. He knew the guys liked to jerk him around, but they did it with respect. And he’d earned the reputation of being serious and responsible, on the ice and off. That was him, and it was important to him to take his career and his responsibilities seriously.

Army shook his head. “I’ll let her stay for a while, but seriously, she’ll have to find her own place. Don’t worry.”

Marc shrugged. “I wasn’t worried.”

That wasn’t entirely true. Army’s little sister was smokin’ hot. At first Marc had thought his roommate had a hot chick visiting him and he’d been all Whoa, way to go, dude, but when he’d learned she was Army’s sister, he’d backpedaled fast. He couldn’t get out of there before she’d jumped up and rushed at him with a fucking dazzling smile, so goddamn gorgeous he couldn’t get his feet to move and could barely string two words together. Her smile was luminous, all white teeth and dimples and glowing face. Long, wavy red-gold hair gleamed in the sunlight and, fuck him, even though she’d been wearing clothes that covered her from chin to toes, her body was stellar—a soft blue sweater outlined high, firm tits and a small waist that curved into round hips. He couldn’t see her legs, but they were long, her snug black pants revealing slender thighs.

Shut it down, man.

She was Army’s sister and therefore waaaay the fuck off-limits.

And that was why he was maybe a little worried about her living with them. Just a smidgen worried. But hey. He was Captain Codger. He had no issues with self-control, self-discipline, or being responsible. He could easily ignore a hot babe living in the apartment with them. No problem. No problem at all.

Army’s phone pinged and he peered at the screen. “Great. An email from my mom warning me Lovey’s on her way. Thanks, Mom.” He shook his head as he tapped a reply. “She wants me to make sure Lovey’s okay in the big city. Jesus.”

Yeah, Lovey seemed like she was going to be okay.

They arrived at the dealership and while Army signed the paperwork, Marc wandered around looking at the vehicles, trying to ignore the attention from the staff, male and female. The receptionist approached him for an autograph.

“You’re my favorite player.” She let out a breathy laugh. “I watch all the games.”

“Yeah?” He obliged by scrawling his messy signature across the Land Rover pamphlet she held out, adding his jersey number beneath it. “You watch that last game against Philly?”

“Of course! You guys played great.”

He stuck his tongue into one cheek and nodded. “Thanks.” They’d sucked. They’d lost three-one, probably their worst game so far, another game added to their losing streak.

“D’you speak French?” Her eyes widened.

“Mais oui.” He grinned.

“That is soooo sexy.” She stared at him.

Câlisse. He resisted the urge to sigh and smiled instead. “Merci.”

“I love your accent.”

He wanted to frown. He barely had an accent. He’d been raised by a Francophone mother and Anglophone father, and although his education had been all in French growing up in Quebec, he spoke both languages fluently. Maybe there was a bit of an accent. Whatever.

“Hey, Armdog,” he called to his friend. “I’m gonna head out. Meet you at the Sin Bin?”

“Yeah. Be there soon.”

My Thoughts:

Ryker is a single father who is a hockey star still trying to prove his worth knowing that because of his age his hockey days will be over soon. Things start to shake up for the Carolina Cold Fury when it is revealed that the General Manager of the team is a female. The team is less then thrilled some even make their feelings known. Many believe that right does a female have to take over on a male dominated sport. Gray is more then willing to prove her worth and little did she expect for Ryker to catch her eye. He is not what she needs right now she got a lot to prove and relationship with a team member could cost her her dream job.

Another fantastic book by Sawyer Bennett I've been following along this series and each book is a stand alone for those of you who are reading this, but I would highly recommend reading in order. Each book is fantastic in its own way, very unique and highly enjoyable. That goes to say I loved this book, this book had a great mix of everything including drama and steamy scenes to keep the readers on their toes and wanting more.I absolutely loved Grays character she was an amazing, strong, independant women who can defend herself. I loved that in the face of danger she can say a solid F you to it. I'm still debating if this was my favorite book of the series. It was so good that I just couldn't put it down and my kindle the trator that it is managed to die a couple chapters before the ending of the book. So I had to charge it and then get to see what became of the characters. UGH! Overall this was a great book and I look forward to seeing more and highly recommend you lovely readers to check it out.

Just realized I'm one of the many lucky people able to get this book ahead of time and like many of them out there I rate this book a 5 of 5 Stars. I'm familiar with Sawyer Bennett's work so I already know that this would be nothing less then fantastic. I loved the first a book and absolutely loved this book as well. This book is apart of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend you check out the previous book so that you can appreciate and understand where some of the characters in this book come from. I loved their relationship between Olivia and Garrett. I loved the connection and the steamy scenes the between the two. There was just enough drama to keep things interesting. I loved that Alex and Sutton do make their appearances in this book. Overall this was a great book and I highly recommend you lovely readers take a chance at this book and put it on your TBR list.

My Thoughts:

Taylor doesnt want anything to do with hockey players. Go figure the one guy to catch her eyes since her last boyfriend happens to be a well-known hockey player Kian. Kian knows he's not good enough for Taylor but he will try to do what he can to be deserving of her.

I can't seem to remember where I gotten this arc of this book, probably from a book tour that hadn't fully went through. It's a good thing that I am familiar with Dakota Madison's books, because if it was based on the book cover like how I usually choose my books I would've overlooked this book. The cover is pretty cheesy, yea the guy on the cover is hott but the overall cover is still cheesy. Now on to content. The book was sweet and interesting enough but I wished there was more then what was more there. I wanted to see more of their relationship, more drama, more anything like a background history. I wanted to find something to connect to the characters but there wasn't much about them other then Taylor came from a rich background Kian didn't. I did enjoyed the characters, and the steamy scenes were great. I loved that there was two point of views. I loved the connection between Kian and Taylor. I felt like the book was a bit rushed which was a problem for me. Other then that I did like the book and I'm curious to see what happens in the next book.
