Tour / Review : Hearts at Seaside

Dive into the Newest Sweet with Heat Romance!

Hearts at Seaside by Addison Cole

Sweet with Heat : Seaside Summers #3
Releasing July 19, 2017
Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Hearts at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Hearts. The stories and characters remain the same and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In HEARTS at SEASIDE...
Jenna Ward is vivacious, spontaneous, and confident--except when she's around the man who stole her heart years earlier, strikingly handsome, quiet, and reliable Pete Lacroux. After years of trying to get his attention and overwhelmed from dealing with her mother's new cougar lifestyle, Jenna's giving up on Peter--and is ready to explore other men.

As the eldest of five siblings, with an alcoholic father to care for, boat craftsman Pete Lacroux always does the right thing and has no time for a real relationship. He's looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who's so sexy and painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.

When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete's true feelings, and he's unable to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had. But Pete's not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. Can Jenna handle the real Pete Lacroux--the most alpha male she's ever seen--or will she crack under pressure? And can Pete reclaim the life he once had without tearing apart his family?

Jenna had her eyes set on Peter for a years without any thing to go off of whether he really likes her. So she does something she wouldn't normally do, strike up a conversation with a guy she bearly konws and manages to get a date out of it. Now it seems Peter after seeing Jenna reel in some guy hes having a hard time keeping the feelings he had for her inside.

Didn't even notice that I jumped straight into the third book but it does great on its own. I really enjoyed this book and the characters. I really loved the fact that it wasn't love at first sight with these two like so many books out there. I loved that as friends they were able to learn about eachother quirks and learn more about eachother more then they ever had as they get closer with one other. I loved that this book had a bit of steam to keep things interesting but not in depths graphic scenes. I love Melissa Foster's work but sometimes for me even enough sometimes I enjoyed it personally I find the scenes a bit too much and can appreciate this book more without it. Overall I really enjoyed this book, great summer read if you are looking for it. Can't wait to read the other books in this series as well as the ones that I've already missed.

There should be an unwritten rule about drooling over construction workers, but Jenna Ward was sure glad there wasn’t. She sat on the porch of the Bookstore Restaurant, soaking up the deliciousness of the three bronzed males clad in nothing more than jeans and glistening muscles that flexed and bulged like an offering to the gods as they forced thick, sticky tar into submission. Their jeans hung low on strong hips, gripping their powerful thighs like second skins and ending in scuffed and tarred work boots. What red-blooded woman didn’t get worked up over a gorgeous shirtless man in work boots?
Heaven help her, because she needed this distraction to take away her desire for Peter Lacroux, which went hand in hand with summers on the Cape and consumed her in the nine months they were apart. She zeroed in on one particularly handsome blond construction worker. His hair was nearly white, his jaw square and manly. She wanted to march right out to the middle of the road that split the earth between the restaurant and the beach and be manhandled into submission. Right there on the tar. Wrestled and groped until all thoughts of Pete evaporated.
“Wipe the drool from your chin, chica.” Amy Maples handed Jenna a margarita and, pointedly, a fresh napkin, as she settled into the chair across from her. “Goodness, woman. What’s up with you this summer? I swear you’re in heat. I can practically smell your pheromones from over here.”
Jenna gulped her drink and righted her red bikini top, which was trying its hardest to relieve itself of her enormous breasts. Even her bikini top was ready for a man. A real man. A man who craved her as much as she craved him.
Jenna reluctantly turned away from Testosterone Road and faced her best friends. The women she had spent her summers with here in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, for as long as she could remember and the women she hoped would help her through her most important summer ever.

Tour / Review : Carson

She needs to move forward with her life, but how can she when Carson still owns her heart?

Carson by Melissa Foster

Bad Boys After Dark #3
Releasing July 11, 2017
World Literary Press

Second chances really do exist…

As the founder of a multimillion-dollar international security business, Carson Bad exposes secrets for a living. He knows better than to forge relationships built on them. But for years he did just that with his best friend, and secret lover, Tawny Bishop. She brought a sense of calm and understanding to his life–in and out of the bedroom. Until one fateful night when a knock at the door changed everything.

Tawny is no longer a naive college student. She’s a sought-after perfumer living in Paris. She has plenty of resources at her fingertips, and lots of lonely nights to think about the only man she’s ever loved–the one she ran away from all those years ago. She needs to move forward with her life, but how can she when Carson still owns her heart?

Maybe showing up in the middle of the night unannounced isn’t the best route to unraveling the past and figuring out her future, but Tawny has played it safe for ten long years, and it’s only made her long for the man she never should have walked away from. Now she’s back in Carson’s life, and he’s determined not to make the same mistake twice. If only he knew what that mistake was…

I love books that feature a second chance at love and that whats happens in this book Tawny and Carson. Both had went different ways back in college and while Carson is a successful security business, Tawney was pretty much a world away in Paris working as a perfumer helping people find the perfect scent. Tawny is still trying to figure out things for herself after she gets divorced with a guy who took second place in her heart, while she pretty much goes in the middle of the night a finds Carson. I loved seeing the chemistry between the two they really were such an interesting couple. I really enjoyed seeing everything they went through, learning more about themselves and seeing them as a couple when it came to this book it was surprising to know that it was only like a week but the characters when through so much. I loved getting to know about them and the arrangement they had when they were in college and how it ended up turning them into the people that they are now. I really loved the characters and seeing the guys and gals from the previous books to make an appearance. Overall this was a pretty great book and I really enjoyed it.
With her heart in her throat, she lifted her gaze, and lost her breath at the sight of the strikingly handsome man who had once been her lover and best friend standing a few feet away with his brother, Brett. She’d met Brett once when he’d come to visit Carson at college.
Her attention moved swiftly back to Carson, and she was unable to look away. His white dress shirt was rolled up to his elbows, revealing muscular forearms, and tucked into perfectly tailored dark slacks. He was broader now, tall, and sturdy. A big, beautiful man with the classic good looks of a 1950s movie star. He raked a hand through his short hair, laughing at something Brett must have said. His familiar laughter made her knees weak.
Please look over.
No. Don’t. Her heart might explode.
Wait. Yes, look over.
Oh God.
What was she doing? She was a professional, educated woman. She should not be weak-kneed over the sight of a man. But apparently her body didn’t get the memo, because her pulse skyrocketed, and she could barely breathe. She gripped the handle of her suitcase tighter, using it for balance. Carson turned, his chiseled features softened by the hint of a five-o’clock shadow. Their eyes connected, and his brows knitted, his jaw tensed.
Disappointment clutched her. Didn’t he recognize her? Or did he? Was he angry? She should walk away, but she was pinned in place by his riveting gaze.

Tour / Review : Catching the Cowgirl

More importantly, he needs to find a way to keep her.

Catching The Cowgirl By Jennie Marts

Cotton Creek #3
Releasing July 3, 2017
Entangled Lovestruck
California video game designer Adam Clark knows that, in his business, authenticity is the key. So, for their newest Western adventure game, he and his partners decide to try out Cowboy Camp. Only Adam’s friends never arrive, leaving him a bit—okay, a lot—preoccupied, trying to resist the gorgeous cowgirl who owns the ranch.

Single mom Skye Hawkins is too busy trying to keep her family’s dude ranch out of the red to even think about romance. But she’s having trouble avoiding Adam. He’s smart, he’s sweet, he’s funny…and he’s hot! Maybe it’s the mountain air, but she finds herself letting down her guard. And the fireworks are definitely worth it.

The only problem—they live in totally different worlds. Still, Adam is nothing if not resourceful. Sure, he wants to catch the cowgirl. But more importantly, he needs to find a way to keep her.

It wasn't until I finished the book that I found out that this book was a third in a series so that goes to say that this book is standalone and with how this book turned out I'll be sure to check out the other books.

I can honestly say I really enjoyed the book, I manged to finish this book quickly. I pretty much spent the who day reading it. I usually have a soft spot for westerns, cowboy types of book. I haven't come across the pov of a cowgirl character though and it was an interesting change. I enjoyed the characters and loved that spark and enjoyed the plenty of steamy scenes that happens between Adam and Skye. Now that I'm thinking about it don't remember if I've come across a game developer in  books before until now that that a welcomed change as well. I loved that Skye was a pretty independent women who didn't want to rely on any man to help her out, shes been burned before and she got work and her child to think of. I loved that even when offered she did her own thing and wanted to work out her own issues without anyone help. I loved that there was a few conflicts to keep things interesting.  Overall the story line was interesting, the book is well written and I loved how this book played out was an enjoyable read and I can't wait to get ahold of the previous books.
