Hannah Daniels reads steamy romance novels to forget her last trip on the love roller coaster shredded her heart and tossed it like confetti. Her instincts about men stink, but at work they’re on point. Only her busy schedule means she reads whenever she can make time. Like at the laundromat while sitting on top of a washing machine. Don’t judge.
Firefighter Mason McNally has searched his whole life for a woman who stirs his soul. When he finds her, she’s nose-deep in a racy paperback atop a vibrating washer. Herbeauty, boldness, and raw sensuality ignite his interest. But there’s a problem. He’s forgotten he’s wearing a wedding ring.
No amount of hasty explanations that it’s for his brother’s psychology experiment convinces her to give him a chance. But he’s rushed into fiery situations before, and this woman is totally worth the risk. He’ll just have to prove to her that first impressions can be wrong and their spark of attraction is oh so right.

I didn't realize that this book was going to be around the holidays so I decided to pick this book out but if you like reading books based around the holidays like myself you'll want to pick up this book down and save it for the ending of the year. Other then that I thought that this book was pretty good. I enjoyed the story and the connection between the two main characters and if your into that sorta thing there are plenty of steamy moments. I loved that there was that wierd element of wondering about a possible stalker that's been sending some photos to Hannah. If you are looking out for good contemporary filled with drama and romance you'll enjoy this book as much as I did.

A Cowboy for Christmas

After being jilted at the altar, all Marissa Walker wants for Christmas is to escape her life. Fleeing to Bluebonnet Springs and the ailing grandfather she's never known seems like the perfect solution. But when her limo breaks down, neighboring rancher Alex Palermo comes to her rescue. With his ranch in jeopardy, Alex can't afford any distractions right now—until he sees a bedraggled runaway bride on the side of the road. Alex can't turn his back on the spunky city girl, and soon his priority becomes convincing her to stay. Because Christmas—and his future—would be much merrier with Marissa as his bride.

When Marissa finds out that her soon to be husband seemed more interested in the caterer then her she runs from her life, with her luck the limo breaks down leaving her stranded on her way to her estranged grandfather. Alex is the one who finds Marissa a the side of the road and she makes quiet an impression while he helps her meet her grandfather. He has his own issues an the last thing he needs is for a city girl to change his mind in opening his heart a bit.

This was such heart warming book and I really enjoyed it. I like the characters and getting to know their history. I loved seeing how hard headed Marissa was when she set her mind to something she refused to back down and let others make her go away. I enjoyed seeing the grand father softening towards Marissa and seeing how she was able to help out being there in his life. This is a sweet christmasy book and if you are looking for a bit of that during this holiday season then this book is for you.

Dr.Charlie Warren is their ob-gyn and the couple trusts him and his judgment, but Juliet is there to give the family a different option so they can choose what they need.

I've managed to finish this book sooner then I thought I would. I managed to finish this book in about two hours. I really enjoyed the two main characters and seeing their strong personalities come together to create conflict between the two. I loved that even if it was a rocky start they were able to work together professionally even if they saw the situation at hand from two different spectrums. I also loved how sweet Charlie Warren was towards Juliets daughter. Overall this was a sweet book and I enjoyed it.

Synopsis:

A Happy Reunion?

Way back when, Hunter Boone thought he and Josie Stephens had something that would last forever. Then she got her ticket out of town and took off—alone. The hurt nearly tore him apart. By the time Josie realized she'd made a mistake, Hunter had already married.

Now Josie's back in Stonewall Crossing, and while instant fire flares between them, she can't come between the now single dad and his son. As the whole town gets ready for Christmas, Josie finds it hard to avoid Hunter. No matter how much he tempts her with the promise of a future together, she has to tell herself—for her own survival—that relationships just aren't her thing…

Review:

Josie is back to her hometown to help out her father. All though her life she went though seeing her mother go in out out of relationships like its going out of style leaving her with relationship issues. At least she had her loving father around. The problem is now that shes back she has to deal with seeing a man she loved and knowing he had a wife and kid. Its pretty obvious that the flames that they once had is flaring up. After learning how relationships are by her mother Josie doesn't think she can handle trying to get close to him again.

First off not much of a holiday book. It could've been placed at anytime at all and wouldn't have changed the book. I thought that there would be more holiday stuff going on being that it says christmas in the title. I'm searching out for more holiday books to recommend while the holiday books are out which is the only reason that I'm pointing this out. Other then that this is your basic second chances book, with a bit of drama and steam going on. I wished that there was more to the book then just what happened so I'm going to rate this book 3 stars. The storyline was interesting, this book was well written but I wished that there was more to this book. I feel like I've read many story's likes this and wanted more from it to make it unique. Overall it was a nice story and I did enjoy it.
