One Christmas on a Scottish island...

A lifetime together?

After her fiance's shocking betrayal, District Nurse Audrey Walsh hopes to escape Christmas on remote Bourtree Island! Instead, she's met by a gorgeous man in a Santa suit... Dr. Cooper MacAskill!

They're stuck working (and living) together 'til New Year, both with their demons to face. Except their inconvenient attraction, and the warmth of this island community offers them healing and happiness - if they have the courage to take it!
Nurse Audrey was excited to be planning for her christmas wedding until she found her fiancé with someone else. Now she's off to Bourtree Island temporarily for the holidays to lick her wounds and ends up working with the local Dr. Cooper who is also there temporarily. While there is limited time its no surprise with them spending time together that sparks would fly.

I enjoyed this book. If you like a short romance you'll like this book. To me it felt a very rushed but it was still a fun read. Not only did I enjoy getting to know the characters, the issues, I also got to see the small town life how close people in the community was. I loved seeing how everyone worked together. I loved seeing the bit of romance between the two even if it was a bit too fast in my opinion. I liked seeing their issues and watching as they were trying to work past them. Dr. Cooper had regrets which lead him to where he was, and Audrey was finally taking off those rose colored glasses and seeing what her past relationship really was. Overall this was a pretty good book I enjoyed it.

Which becomes impossible when he finally reveals the reason why he left…
Alex and Beth had a past together but he broke her heart when he needed her most. Its been a while since then and they still bump into eachother once in a while unfortunately. Its when Alex comes to Beth so she can help a puppy he just found. Unsure of the owner they both end up taking care of the puppy until they find the owner or a new one for it. They never expected the puppy to be the one to break the ice between the two and with the more time spent together Beth heart is slowly but surly opening up towards Alex once again.
I mean its not the most original book I've read but it was pretty good. If you like a contemporary romance that all about the second chances and revealing old wounds to get to the part of healing then you'll like this book. The characters were okay, I liked that there was the dual point of view with the characters to see how they were really feeling with everything that went on. Overall this was a pretty good book.

This was a nice little holiday contemporary romance. I enjoyed seeing how everything played out in this book and getting to know the character. The romance was cute but unfortunately it had a clear deadline and was curious to see how things would end. I loved getting to know the characters and seeing them all work together not only healing themselves but others as well, being a listening ear and being there for eachother. Then because it was during the holidays there are a bit of holiday things going on which I appreciate. Overall pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

He never meant to love again…
…until he goes to Vietnam!

In this The Good Luck Hospital story, widower, Scottish GP Joe and his young son are in Vietnam for a fresh start. Volunteering at a humanitarian hospital, Joe’s surprised by how quickly he feels at home - which could have something to do with beautiful, intriguing Dr. Lien, his colleague and unofficial tour guide. With her, Joe glimpses a tantalizing future…if he can let go of the past.
Joe works at a humanitarian hospital and has his son in tow after the death of his wife he needs a bit of a chance of scenery. Dr. Lien works with him and they are neighbors as well so shes been helping him out with the ropes around the place and the ins and outs with what to do. Thing is the more time spent together the more attraction goes and Lien got her heart broken before and hes eventually going to go back to Scotland.

Overall really good book. I enjoyed the characters and how everything played out. As doctors they had to be constantly on their toes with patient care so it was interesting seeing how they worked that. For some reason sometimes come across medical romance books that the doctors suddently have so much time during many books and dont seem to work at all other the title no actual proof they work in the medical field but this book made it clear and stuck to it. Then there was the romance that was blooming between the two which I enjoyed. There was the bit of holding back and drama when it came to the relationship because Joe's ex passing away, Liens hang up on men based off her ex and guarding a bit of her heart and then there the whole temporary of it all because eventually Joe has to go back to Scotland and decisions need to be made. Overall it was a pretty great book I really enjoyed it.

Could a single dad of two…

…be the answer to her dreams?

Trauma doc Livvy Henderson loves her job and friends, and she’s been cancer free for five years. She’s content…until she meets widowed father, handsome surgeon Matt Hunter on a team weekend in Cumbria. Their powerful connection reawakens her fears, desires and longing for a family she’s long since locked away. But Matt finds he’s ready to convince her she belongs in his, whatever the future holds…

Livvy has been cancer free for five years and is good with how her life is, that is until she meets Matt Hunter during an accident that left him helping her out. They both have an instant connection and both want to pursue something more but Livvy can't help but want to keep her distance because of her brush with cancer.

I thought that this was a good book. I loved the romance between the two, the connection was undeniable and readers all around can't help but root for the two. Its understandable why she would have built a wall after what she went though, and she still runs the risk of it returning and shes worried how things would play out if she forms a relationship with Matt and his two kids. Theres not much to say about this book that wont ruin it but it was a enjoyable contemporary romance I really enjoyed it.

Can their surprise baby…

Heal his broken heart?

Since hospital administrator Garret Stapleton lost both his wife and daughter, he’s determined not to give away his heart again. Until gorgeous but guarded ER doc Addy Santini gets under his skin… Soon they embark on a scorching affair that has unexpected, life-changing consequences! When Garret’s tragic past threatens their happiness, can Addy’s surprise pregnancy lead them to their happy-ever-after?

I'm trying to think of how to summarize this book but it would probably sound generic so I'll go straight to the review. Overall this was a pretty nice read, very predictable with minimal differences from many other books I've come across and yet I enjoyed this book all the same. It was short, sweet and simple little romance and honestly I was just hoping for more out of this book.

Just know that its a pretty good book and I really enjoyed it.

He's kept love at bay...

Can she unlock his heart?

In this Nurses in the City story, Grace Gibson loves her job as a transplant coordinator at a Sydney hospital. But she's blindsided when a ghost from her past reappears. Devastatingly handsome surgeon Marcus Washington was her childhood neighbor--but he's all man now, and hiding a wealth of pain. Will Grace be the woman to break down his walls and claim his heart?

Grace is a transplant coordinator who managed to spot someone from her past, Marcus Washington who is the new surgeon in the hospital. He's hoping to prove himself and the last thing he needs is for Grace to remind him of his past.

Overall this was a pretty good medical romance. I loved getting to know them  and their backstories. Learning about the secrets Marcus was holding when he left his home and dealing with abandonment issues and how he was just holding up as a person. I thought it was interesting to see how he made himself into the person who he was in this book. I loved that romance and connection between the two, it was quick and seemly rushed into but with the limited about of pages that are in this book its to be expected. Overall it was a pretty good book and I really enjoyed it.

From playing it safe…

To falling for her rebel boss!

In this Bondi Bay Heroes story, ER nurse Samantha Braithwaite has learnt never to put limits on herself. But working with Dr. Blake Cooper is her biggest challenge yet. He thinks she’s shy, but that makes her more determined to prove she can make the Specialist Disaster Response team. And as days spill into nights, the chemistry they’ve tried to hide is about to explode.
Samantha is a nurse who has relocated to Bondi Bay hospital. She's looking to be apart of the Specialist Disaster Response team and she's having a rough first day. It's something that Dr.Blake Cooper has noticed but its also that her her model like looks that has made her attractive to him. Dr. Blake Cooper is apart of that Disaster Response team and he doesn't think Samantha has what it takes but she'll try to prove him wrong.

This was a pretty good book. I would've preferred for it to be longer but for the amount of pages there was this was a pretty good good, packed enough to keep things interesting. This is a good book if you are pressed for time. Actually even good for a summer beach read you can finish this book withing maybe 2 or 3 hours. So I thought that this book was interesting. I liked the character and getting to know them. I loved that attraction that was simmering between the two. I loved seeing Samantha trying to prove herself, she wasn't going to let Dr. Blake bring her down when he believed that she wouldn't be able to be apart of the team. She really did work on proving herself and didn't just take his word for it. Overall it was a pretty good book I enjoyed it.

One night…
That could change her life forever!

In this Hot Greek Docs story, when an earthquake hits the Greek island of Mythelios, nurse Cailey Tomaras rushes to help—only to encounter childhood crush Dr. Theo Nikolaides! As the trauma fades, they find comfort between the sheets… But when Cailey realizes the consequences of that night, she must prove to lone wolf Theo that he’d make the perfect dad.

Cailey and Theo has a brief history but when it was clear that they would never be together Cailey set her sights else ware to become a nurse. When a earthquake takes up things in a major way she goes back to her hometown to see where she is needed. Little did she expect to run into Theo, even more so that they would end up spending the night together leading to some unexpected consequences. Things get even more so complicated while they try to work everything about their relationship out.

This book is pretty typical and yet enjoyable. Its simple and easy to find myself falling into it. I read this book within hours and enjoyed seeing how the characters worked together and how they worked on solving their issues. I liked that there was enough drama to keep things interesting. I liked getting to know the characters and loved how the book ended. This was just a nice story to escape into while.
