In Gold Valley, Oregon, forbidden love just might be the sweetest…

Dane Parker traded in his trailer-park roots for glory as a bull rider. But when a serious injury sidelines him for months, it’s the first time he can’t just pull himself up by his bootstraps. The last thing he wants to deal with is sweet family friend Bea treating him like one of her wounded animals—or the unexpected attraction that suddenly flares between them.

Beatrix Leighton has loved Dane for years, while he’s always seen her as another sister. When she enlists his help to start her animal sanctuary, she thinks it will give him purpose. Instead, it brings all the desire she feels for him to the boiling point. Bea’s father taught her early on that love means loss. But could her forbidden crush turn into a love that will last a lifetime?

Dane got roughed up being a bull rider and has to heal for now dealing with a limp. Beatrix is a natural caretaker and has loved Dane for a long time and was there for Dane when he got injured. Beatrix needing help for an animal sanctuary asks for Danes help while he's still trying to heal with light work. Thing is with this time they are going to have to spend with eachother feelings between one another get stronger. Both have their own set of issues, now its working past that to see if something can become of anything.

I liked this book, I really enjoyed getting to know the two characters. They both have had such difference lives and it was interesting getting to know them. After all that they've both went through readers can't help but want these to find to find a HEA with eachother. I loved seeing how the books played out and the little hijinks that were caused by Evan which was pretty entertaining. Overall it was a pretty great book, if you love western contemporary romances you'll love this.

New York Times bestselling author Carla Cassidy kicks off another gripping Colton romance in cowboy country!

After years in hiding, Josie Colton has her life back. But to settle a family promise, she must find an old clue buried at the Colton Valley Ranch. She enlists the help of ranch foreman Tanner Grange—in exchange for working as his twin toddlers' new nanny. On their search, the single dad soon begins to lasso Josie's heart.

Tanner agrees to assist Josie and is alarmed by how the Colton beauty fits so perfectly into his life. He's got his hands full investigating the disappearance of his boss and caring for his little girls. When it's clear someone will kill to stop Josie from uncovering the clue, Tanner vows to protect her…for life!

Josie has had a horrible upbringing and is now starting to get the life that way taken away from her. Seeking her fathers approval and trying to at least do his father last dying wish, she is seeking for a watch with a hidden map to a treasure. Little did she expect for others to be seeking it as well or at the very least could have ties to what happened to her in a past and is seeking a way to end her. Tanner is the one who is going to help her but will protect her as well it seems since a couple of mishaps keep happening. Until they can find the watch, she'll watch Tanner twins and give him a hand since he's helping her out. Of course time together will bring up feelings.

I loved this book it was fast paces, suspenseful, I loved that there was plenty going on. There was that attraction between the two characters I loved, and loved the dual point of view to go with that they were thinking. I liked getting that aspect to know what is truly going on in their mind and why the characters made certain choices. I loved the back stories that came with the characters especially Josie. Poor Josie just couldn't catch a break! I loved the relationship between Josie and the twins, it was sweet to see the overall family aspect of the book and not that it faded into the background like most books that I come across. I loved that there was plenty of drama to keep things interesting, I loved that not everything just stayed quiet because soon as things were seeming good something ended up happening. Overall a really great book, I really enjoyed it!

Cowboy to the core

Jake Dalton believes in worthy causes—like opening his Texas ranch to inner-city kids for the summer. But there's a catch…that involves a woman. Dedicated do-gooder Carolina Lambert can hold her own against any man…Jake included. Except now someone with a nasty grudge who's been waiting for the perfect moment to strike has the beautiful widow in his sights.

R.J. Dalton's estranged son is the last man on earth Carolina wants to trust with her life. But the rugged single father has sworn to keep her safe. As passion ignites—and a killer closes in—Carolina and Jake may lose their chance at a love neither expected to find again.

When it came to this book there was more enough drama and suspense to keep the readers. Infact I think there was just too much. After all that suspense, I was hoping for a bit more action with the ex, then what happened. I was constantly waiting for more to happen but it didnt. There was that spark between Jake and Carolina that was nice enough. But that's all it was to me just nice. Overall this was a good read just wished that was more going on.

Pages: 240
Expected publication: April 5th 2016 by Harlequin

Synopsis:

A Different Kind of Hero

Everyone knows Victor Vicario—he's the scarred loner who's on his way to the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas. But no one knows about the guilt that drives him. And until he achieves his goal, there's no room in his life for attachments.

So when Vic is given temporary custody of his young nephew, he is torn. He can't turn his back on family, but how can he look after a kid when he's traveling the rodeo circuit? Then he runs into feisty barrel racer Tanya McGee and makes her an offer. She helps him with Alex, and he'll pay her rodeo expenses. The problem is their little "family" starts to feel all too real.

Review:

Victor has been a bronc rider with a past and has been doing well for himself. That was until he finds out that his nephew was found on his own and needs to temporarily be cared for until his grandmother is found or a foster home is available. His lifestyle isn't right for a kid but with the help of Tanya a barrel racer they'll work out taking care of the kid.

I have a soft spot of rodeo cowboys books and was sure to request this book through netgalley for a honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I wasn't much of a fan of Victor at first I felt that he was selfish more worried about his career then his family member and after getting into this book I understood why. I thought his backstory was an interesting one.As for Tanya I liked her character as well. The story was written well, I just couldn't put the book down. I loved that this book was unique in its own ways and that even if I read similar with sort of the same theme this book had its way of standing out making this book very enjoyable. Overall a great book I really liked it.

There are so many reasons Sierra should keep her distance from Jarrett. But as they work together to help his sister heal, it's obvious they're a great team. Will Sierra and Jarrett follow their hearts and make this temporary arrangement permanent?

Review:

Sierra is on her next job as a physical therapist which is a welcomed chang after the accusations of her last client. Shes a city girl so life in a small town has its obvious differences. Shes now working for Jarrett Ross's younger sister who was injured by a drunk driver. Ever since the accident Jarrett and his younger sister can't help but feel its his fault and he's pretty much sworn off his old lifestyle and girls. Soon as Sierra steps in as competent at her job she he just can't keep his eyes off of her.

I enjoyed this book it was sweet, simple and predictable. It was a light and fun read. I enjoyed seeing the interaction between Jarrett and Sierra. I loved how well meaning she was with every choice that she made. I loved how the small town lifestyle was getting to her and how she was able to help her client do more with herself then stay depressed. Overall a pretty good story I really enjoyed it.

Blurb:

Can the bad boy of Copper Ridge, Oregon, make good—and win the rodeo girl of his dreams?

Kate Garrett keeps life simple—working hard, riding her beloved horses, playing cards with her brothers. Lately, though, she feels a bit restless, especially when family friend Jack Monaghan is around. Sexy and shameless, Jack is the kind of trouble you don't tangle with unless you want your heart broken. Still, Kate could always use his help in learning how to lasso someone a little less high-risk…

Jack can't pinpoint the moment the Garrett brothers' little sister suddenly stopped seeming so…little. Now here he is, giving flirting tips to the one woman who needs zero help turning him on. Love's a game he's never wanted to play. But he'll have to hurry up and learn how before the best thing that ever entered his life rides right back out again…

Review:

Kate learned to appreciate the simpler things in life like hanging out with her brothers, going out on her horse, as well as work on her horse racing. But lately shes been wanting a bit more after seeing her brothers getting married off. Seems like she is the only one left behind (I can understand that feeling unfortunately) and wants to put herself out there. With the help of on of her brothers best friend, Jack, who knows his way around she will learn to make herself more approachable and date able.Thing his Jack has his eyes on Kate after realizing shes no longer the young girl he had once bothered. It seems the more he helps her Kate can't help but think the same thing.

I'm a sucker for books that have to do with cowboys so naturally I requested to review for this a honest review for Netgally. So basically the story line is generic but I loved that the author make each characters all the more interesting with their personalities and backgrounds. If you lovely books with a bit... well more then a bit of steam you'll really enjoy this book. I loved that even though this was book three I don't feel like I really missed out on the previous books, although with out this book turned out I'll be sure to put those on my TBR list. I loved watching the interaction between the two, I loved that there was the dual point of view to help me understand a bit more in depth about the two characters. Overall a great book I really enjoyed reading this and recommend you lovely readers to check this book out.

Review : Fortune's June Bride

Fortune's June Bride by Allison Leigh

Goodreads : Click
Pages: 224
Published May 19th 2015 by Harlequin

Could a wedding for a week. . .

For weeks now, sexy-as-heck Galen Fortune Jones has been playing the ardent groom in the Wild West Wedding show at Cowboy Country USA. The bride? His sweet, redheaded neighbor Aurora McElroy. Of course, Aurora has had a hidden crush on the rancher for years, but she's been careful to keep that secret close to the vest!

Lead to a marriage for a lifetime?
Things get a little out of hand, however, when Galen agrees to pretend he and Aurora are real life husband and wife. It's only temporary, of course, and it's for a good cause. But being Aurora's hubby off stage is starting to mess with the confirmed bachelor's head. He's having far from friendly feelings for his in-name-only spouse, and it's freaking him out! Has love finally found Horseback Hollow's last unfettered Fortune?

What should've been a week lasted a lot longer when Aurora asks her brothers friend Galen's help to be apart of a western wedding skit. He was only going to help as a understudy until a replacement was there but the replacement never came and Aurora have been tied together with each other for a while and can't help but give into that attraction that they have.

I'm not quite sure but I feel like there are a bunch of other books that go before this book. I just felt like pointing that out simply because of different areas of the book talk about his other siblings relationships. I could be wrong... Overall I did enjoy the book. I loved watching the relationship between the two and the steamy scene were pretty great. I loved that there was a dual point of view helping me enjoy each character more. I loved that there was a perfect mix of romance, drama and steamy scenes to keep things interesting.
