he Buchanan sisters all share special childhood memories of their Aunt Sassy’s beloved Juniper Inn. There, they frolicked in the snow, baked sugar cookies, and celebrated the town’s annual Christmas extravaganza. They haven’t been back to Colorado in nearly fifteen years, but when their aunt invites them for one last Christmas, they can’t say no . . .

With her ex-husband whisking her children away for the holiday, Dahlia decides it’s time to do something for herself. Juniper Springs is just as beautiful as she remembers, but it’s also full of surprises — including the town’s handsome doctor, who makes her feel like herself again for the first time in years.

To the outside world, baker Magnolia has the ideal marriage. Only the pain and sorrow of infertility have strained her relationship with her husband, perhaps beyond repair. But a holiday miracle is about to change her life.

After a whirlwind romance, youngest sister Rose is about to be married, but as the wedding draws near, she’s unsettled by her fiancé’s expectations that she become a society wife. Spending Christmas with her family could be a necessary reality check — or the beginning of a brand-new happily ever after.

Thanks to the strength of their sisterhood, some mistletoe, and the love of their Aunt Sassy, the Buchanan sisters will discover what it is they truly want this Christmas.

Three sisters with with different life situations decides to visit an aunt for the holidays after it sounds like the aunt isn't in the best shape. Dahlia is going to deal with being her kids and ex being away for the holidays leaving her alone. Magnolia has been dealing with fertility issues with her husband that's put a strain on their relationship. Rose is dealing with the stress of an overbearing future mother-in-law who is taking over everything from the wedding, to most things in the couples life and not sure what the future will hold or if she wants that.

Its amazing that I didn't pick this book up sooner. With the holidays creeping closer I wanted to find some great holiday books to get me in the mood and while reading christmasy books right now in September is a bit much its great for those who want recommendations for holiday books. So I'm going to try to set up a list of what I'd recommend and this book is defiantly going to be on that list.  If you like a contemporary book that takes place during the holidays but doesn't absolutely scream christmas then you'll like to read this.

While I had a hard time at first figuring out who was who at first it was pretty clear once I got used to the characters. I loved getting to know the sisters and seeing the difficult choices that they were going to need to make. On the plus side they did get to see eachother and really support one another during the holidays, they did a bit of changing and growing up and it was just lovely to see that. There was romances here and there and this book does have clean romances which is a positive for me. Overall great book I really enjoyed it.

He’s not at all surprised that their chemistry is still sparking, but Jesse is shocked to learn Addy gave birth to a little girl about nine months after he left—his little girl.

Addy has her hands full as a single mom of a nineteen-year-old daughter who suddenly wants to rebel at everything. The last thing she needs is Jesse Ryan complicating her life even further, especially since she’s always had a crush on the handsome cowboy. On top of that she seems to be having a daughter who is past due for a rebellious phase and has her hands full right now. Jesse the old best friend and surprise surprise the father of her child is around now and now seems to be dealing with more then he thought he would when he came back.

I enjoyed this book. If you like slow burn kinda books you'll like this book I mean there was plenty going on with so much to say. I think I got myself used to fast paced action packed book that this was kinda like a slow run for me but it was nice getting to know that characters that much more. It was interesting seeing how they worked together, how they were going to navigate with the reveal of a child and how that girl is acting now. She was going head first into trouble it was was tough watching how the parents were dealing with that. I liked seeing how everything finally came together and settled. Overall this was a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

A small-town woman is swept off her feet by a caring stranger in this charming western romance.

Forty candles, and one for luck. Jenna Owens wants one thing for her birthday this year: a fairy-tale ending of her own and a little relaxation at a quaint California ranch. What she didn’t want was to get caught in a storm on her way to Meadow Valley. Or to get stuck with a ridiculously hot, too-charming-for-his-own-good cowboy—one who makes Jenna reconsider her “I don't date younger guys” rule. But a little vacation flirtation might be just what she needs.

Colt Morgan isn’t interested in long-term relationships. Not since his last one crashed and burned after his fiancée found out he wanted a big family. So when he learns that Jenna has a list of items to accomplish on her trip—including having fling—Colt is all too happy to oblige. Yet the more he and Jenna get to know each other, the more Colt starts to wonder if maybe they have a chance at a real future. But when Jenna’s past upends everything Colt thought he wanted, are all bets off? Or will they find a way to make both their dreams come true?

Includes the bonus novella Sealed with a Kiss by Melinda Curtis!

Jenna is forty years old and getting a much needed vacation and armed with a checklist of things she wanted to do and Colt is a younger guy who is happy to help her with her list. One was a vacation fling but it looks like this fling is getting deeper then they imagine and there will be a deadline.

Vacation fling? To do List? Romance? If this doesn't scream summer read I don't know what else would. I loved watching as they worked though her list and seeing that romance progress as the story went. No good story doesn't have a bit of drama to move things along and it was interesting seeing what that was and how it impacted the characters. Overall I really enjoyed this book highly recommend!

While his sister is down from a complicated pregnancy, Wes Harding is taking her place and helping out where he can. She never expected Wes and although he seems like a good guy she's not sure if she entirely trusts him because of a trust issues from her late husband.  But the more time they spend together its hard not to want to be together.

I really enjoyed this book. This book was a bit about healing and trying to get past what happened in the past. I mean Wes is dealing with some guilt when it comes to his father and isn't close to anyone and has found himself drawn to the Thea and her small family. Thea is trying to keep her family together and feels a bit iffy when it comes to her past relationship with her ex, it was pretty rock and not sure how to deal with this. There was ups and downs for this family trying to get together, finding trouble and finding love. There was so much going on in this book to keep any reader interested and I really enjoyed reading it.

A cowboy finds love in the most unlikely place in New York Times bestseller Donna Grant's newest Heart of Texas novel, Looking for a Cowboy

A beautiful stranger has come to Clearview, asking questions that are nobody’s business. Cooper Owens also wasn’t born yesterday. He knows that this out-of-towner is hiding a dark secret of her own. Much as he knows he should head in the other direction, he can’t make himself turn away. . .

P.I. Marlee Frampton always wanted to lead a nice quiet life, working as a cop in her local police department. But that dream came to an end when her sister was murdered―and her baby kidnapped. Now Marlee’s come to Texas to investigate the Harpers, who may be linked to shady adoption agencies. Cooper can’t believe that his friends could be involved in anything so sinister...and soon he makes it his mission to help Marlee discover the truth―and keep her safe in his arms.

Marlee is a P.I. who is on the lookout for a company who kills pregnant women and kidnaps the baby and her trail is leading her to Clearview. Cooper has his eyes on the newcomer and is less then thrilled to find out she had motives. When she reveals that she thinks someone close to him may have adopted a child from this certain company they work to find out of its true and try find and take down the company together.

There was so much to enjoy about this book. I thought it was interesting the path of life Marlee took. After what happened to her sister she did everything she can to find who might be behind the killing of her sister and kidnapping of her niece. She refused to back down which got her in less then ideal situations and now she's finally closing in on finding the company. Now theres Cooper a guy who might have ties or something and she used him for a moment to get closer to what she wants and now she's in for a different thing when the who clearly have an attraction. After everything is said and done they must decide what to do with connection they have, she's only passing though with this case. Another think I loved about this book was also getting the other side with a worker for this mama killing baby napping business and seeing how sinister he was. I just loved getting his perspective. This was a pretty great book and overall I enjoyed reading it.

From a "fabulous new voice in romantic fiction" (NYT bestselling author Lael Miller): an arrogant cowboy meets a headstrong woman determined to take custody of his niece, only to realize that she may be the family he was always searching for.

There's not much that could rattle a cowboy like Reese St. James. But when his twin brother dies in a car accident, Reese is stunned to discover he has a six-month old niece, Sawyer. Wanting to make up for lost time, Reese heads down to Unforgiven, New Mexico, to bring her home. He doesn't plan on Sawyer's guardian giving him any trouble, but the intriguing, independent woman is turning out to be more than he bargained for.

Lorelei West had given up hope of having a family of her own until her sister's tragic death brought little Sawyer into her life. And now there's no way she's going to let Reese take her away. Lorelei knows hotshot, good-looking cowboys like him -- she's dated enough of them -- and she intends to stand her ground. Yet the more time Reese and Lorelei spend together, the harder it is to deny the attraction building between them. But opening their hearts to a baby is one thing -- can they also open their hearts to the possibility of a happily-ever-after?

"Readers will be taken with the beautifully written moments of heartache and happiness."― Publishers Weekly

Lorelei is stunned to find out that her sister died in a car accident and even more shocking that she had a baby. Now she's become care taker to the kid, little did she expect for the child's uncle Reese to show wanting to care for the child as well. Thinks are a bit shaky about how things are going to be handled with the child. Reese is well off and with enough money would try to take things into his hands, while  Lorelei is doing okay in her situation but isn't one to back down.

So while the story has been wrote before this author still manages to make it her own with an interesting set of characters. I pretty much assumed Lorelei and Reese was going to get together but with the power shifts that were going on when it came to money things were obviously going to get complicated. Reese really could throw money at situations he wants fixed and while he was trying to do what he felt was right Lorelei wasn't feeling right about it. She was an strong willed independent women who wanted to make her own way towards things and earn them. I loved seeing Reese try when it came to the baby when it came to taking care of the child. I loved seeing the small town life and how everyone was there for eachother in time of need and supported one another. I loved seeing that romance between the two. Overall this was as a pretty enjoyable book.

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Dream Man and Rock Chick series comes a brand new story about love, friendship, and the bonds of sisterhood.

Evie is a bonafide nerd and a hyper-intelligent chick who has worked her whole life to get what she wants. Growing up, she had no support from her family and has only ever been able to rely on herself. So when Evie decides she wants to earn her engineering degree, she realizes she needs to take an alternative path to get there. She takes a job dancing at Smithie's club thinking this would be a quick side gig, where she can make the money she needs. But with her lack of dancing skills and an alpha bad boy who becomes overly protective, Evie realizes this might not be as easy as she thought.

Daniel "Mag" Magnusson knows a thing or two about pain, but the mask he wears is excellent. No one can tell that this good-looking, quick-witted, and roguish guy has deep-seated issues. Mag puts on a funny-guy routine so he can hide his broken heart and PTSD. But when Evie dances her way into Mag's life, he realizes that he needs to come face-to-face with the demons of his past if he wants a future with her.
Evie is a hardworking women who has been being taken advantage of an ungrateful family. When her brother ropes her into one of this schemes all things go down hill. It was sketchy to begin with but it sounded like life or death and she'd do anything for her family. Daniel was on a date when he manages to get pulling into her trouble and wants to do everything he can to help her out. They never expected any of what was going to follow.

Woo there is so much to uncover this book. First of all I can't stand her family, her stepfather I'm good with but her family was straight up wrong. I loved her adoptive family aka her stripper family the people she works with they were the family she needed, they were there for her and put up with a lot to be in her life and I just loved them. Then there was that attraction between Evie and Danny and it was pretty hott with plenty of steamy scenes to go with that. Then there was the whole thing about this book which was the trouble her bother pretty much put her in. This book was a roller coaster, with ups downs twist and turns and really knows now to keep the readers hooked. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Lola gave up everything for her husband Randy when she went from New York City to Sunshine, Colorado. Its been a year since he passed away and shes finally getting to his stuff when she comes to find some of his hidden secrets. Now shes a women on a mission to find out the truth and then leave. Sheriff Drew Taylor is a single dad who maybe fighting for custody when it comes to his child and his flake ex he doesn't need any problems in his life. It seems Lola though can't seem to not cause a stir and Drew is there to keep her out of the trouble she seems to be going straight towards.

This was such a fun read I just couldn't put the book down. Poor Lola having to deal with her husband infidelity after he's gone and shes not one to do things quietly. I loved the ruckus she kept stirring and it made the book all the more enjoyable because she was so unpredictable. Then there was the slight romance between Drew and Lola you can't help but root for the two, they are such opposites but I love seeing that opposites attract kinda thing. Lola really did keep things interesting while Drew was the straitlaced one trying to keep her from going too far. Then theres the who drama that Drew has to deal with on the side. I keep wanting to say more about little things that happen throughout the book but you'll have to see it for yourself. It really is a cute book and I really enjoyed and think you readers will too.

USA Today bestselling author Annie Rains welcomes you back to Sweetwater Springs, North Carolina, with a charming friends-to-lovers story between a sexy fireman and the beautiful woman who mends his heart.

Should they fan the flames or douse this fire before someone gets seriously burned?

Firefighter Luke Marini moved to the small town of Sweetwater Springs with the highest of hopes - new town, new job, and new neighbors who know nothing of his past. And that's just how he wants to keep it. But it's nearly impossible when the gorgeous brunette next door decides to be the neighborhood welcome wagon. She's sugar, spice, and everything nice - but getting close to someone again is playing with fire.

Brenna McConnell put college on hold to raise her little sister. Now that Eve is grown, Brenna is ready to leave Blueberry Creek and finish what she started. Moving on isn't easy, however, when her gruff new neighbor gives Eve a dangerous firefighting job. And yet, even as Brenna is telling him off for putting her sister in harm's way, she can't deny the sizzling chemistry between them. She put her dreams on hold once. Is she willing to make that sacrifice again for a chance at forever?

Includes the bonus novella "Sealed With a Kiss"by Melinda Curtis!
Brenna is finally at a point where she is no longer needed to take care of her sister after the death of their parents. She had to drop everything no questioned asked but now her sister is old enough and taking up a job as a firefighter, she can't help but be worried. Luke is filling in for his boss at the fire station and neighbor to Brenna. Clearly sparks fly between the neighbors, and Brenna has him promising to make sure her sister is safe. Brenna is at a place wheres shes going to pick up where she started in the past and go back to college so its only a matter of time before she leaves but she and Luke just cant help this attraction and see if they can come up with a short term arrangement that'll benefit them both.

I really enjoyed this book. It was tough seeing how the sisters were. Clearly Brenna loved and cared for her little sister to the point where she was hovering but she really wanted whats best. I'm a older sister myself and would've acted the same way. It was interesting seeing how the sisters relationship change over the course of the book. Then there was the big debate on what to do with the family business since her sister wasn't interested and Brenna wanted to get her dream job working as a teacher but needing to go to school. Then there was that clear attraction between Brenna and Luke I just loved their characters and the relationship that was forming between the two. I loved getting to know Luke's characters and seeing him take on the though job as a replacement for his boss while he recovers. Things clearly needed to change in the work place and he was willing to take on that task. Oh and I personally find this as a bonus with the book that its a clean romance which I loved. Overall great book, if you love contemporary romances you'll definitely want to pick up this book.

Once a blissful summer escape, now the tiny town just reminds Eve of loss. Inheriting her aunt's beloved Mermaid Inn is the only reason Eve is coming back. She's definitely not ready to handle nosy neighbors, extensive renovations, or the discovery that a certain heartbreaker still lives down the street...

Police Chief Sawyer Collins always does the right thing, even when it costs him everything. Like Evie. He's spent the past ten years trying to forget her--to forget how right she felt in his arms, to forget the pain in her eyes the day she left. After the loss of her aunt Eve is left with her aunts Mermaid Inn. At the state of the house the place could use some TLC but after Eve plans to do the bare minimum then leave. But when a part of the will requires her to keep the Inn for year, Eves plan to quietly come in and out of town goes out the window. Now shes back to seeing the people of her past which includes the now Police Chief Sawyer Collins who broke her heart. It seems old feelings haven't went away and there is a clear deadline so well see whats in store for the two.

I love books with second chances at romance theres something hopeful about them. I love seeing the people work them out and getting the full picture. I loved getting to know the characters, seeing thier backstories and really caring and hoping for the best. There are bits of drama here and there that arent so bad. I loved seeing them work together and work on fixing the house and working on what happened to them in the past that the only problem that was looming ever closer was the deadline knowing things are going to end soon and decisions need to be made. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

First love. Second chances. In Catalina Cove, anything can happen…

Bryce Witherspoon’s heart races every time she sees Kaegan Chambray. Everyone in town knows they can’t stand each other, but the truth is, even though the man broke her heart ten years ago, she still feels that irresistible, oh-so-familiar jolt of desire.

When Kaegan returned to Catalina Cove to run the family business, he knew there’d be no avoiding Bryce. The woman he thought he’d one day marry was instead the biggest heartbreak of his life. But when Bryce lets slip a devastating secret, he discovers just how wrong he was to let her go all those years ago.

He knows they both still feel the spark between them, but it’ll take more than attraction to convince her. Kaegan will pull out all the stops to show Bryce he’s the man who can give her the future they once dreamed of—if only they give love a second chance
Everyone knows Bryce and Kaegan belong together but they both had a misunderstanding that lead to broken hearts. Its been 10 years since then and now that Kaegan is back to Catalina cover its hard for both to avoid each other. It seems though the heat between the two hasn't gone away but with time around eachother they just might have a second chance at things.

I love books that feature second chances at love. There is that time between things that makes both partners to have time to grow, think, and change while apart and seeing them try to work on things a second time around was interesting.  I enjoyed getting to see the romance, drama, and everything in between. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, their history and seeing how they were attempting to work things out with eachother. I also loved getting to see previous characters in this series make their appearance and in case it wasn't already clear there is two other books. I read the second book to this and been meaning to check out this first which I think I'll see about getting to now that I've enjoyed yet another book by this author. Overall this was a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

When the Farm Cafe burns down Darla comes up with the plan of  helping her friend by getting a bachelor auction and a rodeo to bring in money. Thing is she needs to pretend to be engaged to her friends with benefit, Ty, so that he can bring his family and NFL player brother to draw people to coming to the festivities. Ty isn't thrilled with the arrangement but he did lie to his parents about being engaged and will tolerate his brother for the sake of a friend. They never expected for feelings to start arising.

I love a good western contemporary romance and this book was perfect for me. Thing is I completely forgotten that this book was set during Christmas time. There really wasn't much in the way to show that this book as in the holidays so it slipped my mind. So if you are here looking to see if there is any christmas spirit to be found to get you in the festive mood I wouldn't recommend this but if you are here for an interesting set of characters and romance then your in the right place. I enjoyed seeing the chemistry between the characters, and one of the things that were happening to one of the characters I could guess what was up a mile away. I thought it was interesting seeing the brother dynamics between Ty and his bother and kinda felt bad on how their relationship was. Then there was the whole lying its bound to blow up in their faces and I was curious how that would go down. I enjoyed the romance and seeing how this book played out. Overall great book I enjoyed it.
