Synopsis

Annalise “Leesa” Avalon never realized that one sentence could change her life until one of her students revealed his crush—and within twenty-four hours she finds herself under fire. After a grueling investigation that turns her life upside down, she steals away to Peaceful Harbor, Maryland, with a new identity to try to pull herself back together and figure out her next step.

From the outside, Cole Braden lives a charmed life. He’s a top orthopedic surgeon with a thriving practice, strong family ties, and friends he adores. But there’s a lonely spot inside Cole that no one can see. He has an enormous heart—and a painful past—but the desire to love and be loved is too strong to ignore.

A chance encounter brings Leesa and Cole together, and the attraction is immediate and intense. But a relationship is the last thing Leesa needs—and the only thing Cole wants. Long talks, heated moments, and deep connections are hard to resist, but the harder Cole tries, the more Leesa pulls away. Cole might truly be the right man for Leesa, but is Leesa the right woman for him?

Review:

Leesa is looking for an escape after her world fell apart. She loved her job but can no longer go without leaving doubts in everyone around her minds, and worried more about his career and how her situation would look for him her boyfriend left her. Jetting off with her best friend Tegan seems like the best option while she gets her head on straight where people don't know anything about her and wont judge her falsely.

Another enjoyable book by Melissa Foster. The last thing Leesa needed was go to get into a relationship with Cole but he was just what she needed to finally get her crap straight. I loved the connection and the relationship between the two, it was sweet, steamy and heartwarming. I thought it was interesting how Leesa worked on getting that closure and what was the reasoning behind why he didn't admit the truth to anyone. I loved that Leesa was a caring women who loved her job and the people that she worked for. She really loved her students and would do anything to make sure they didn't fall behind, it was unfortunate that she was taken advantage of and managed to land herself in a heap of trouble. This book was very nicely written and there was never a dull moment. Overall a great book, I would recommend you lovely readers to check out this book.
