Review : Sisters of Summer's End

Sisters of Summer's End by Lori Foster

(Summer Resort #2)
Genre: Contemporary, Romance,
Goodreads: Click
Purchase Link: Amazon | BN | Walmart eBooks
Pages: 384
PublishedJune 11th 2019 by HQN Books
From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Lori Foster comes the story of two very different women who become sisters of the heart, learning that the best families are made—not given—and love is just around the corner.

Joy is a wealthy single mom who’s estranged from her family and wants to give her five-year-old son the kind of support she never received. Maris grew up with unconditional love from her family and little else and is trying to find her way on her own now that they’re all gone. This summer, Joy and Maris will find the family they’ve always longed for in one another—and love where they least expect it—in Summer’s End.

So this book is the perspective of two best friends Joy and Maris both who are going through life and facing different challenges. Joy is just trying to give her five year old son what she didn't have growing up. She was raised in a wealthy family and while given what she wanted she wasn't given that love and support she truly wanted and things went downhill for her when she was pregnant and forced to make some tough choices and she really seems to be a at a good place right now. Now shes facing a different challenge : dating and possibly finding the one but can she be open for that? Then there is Maris her friend who hasn't had the best childhood but got thought and is happy at the moment with how her life is but how dating is a challenge she never really got into growing up and yea can't say more without spoiling the book. If your a fan of contemporary romances then you'll definitely love this book. I pretty much devoured it from start to end and highly recommend you lovely readers to check it out.

Book Tour Review : Love Like Ours

A Romance with All the Right Moves!

Love Like Ours by Melissa Foster

Sugar Lake #3
Releasing Sept 11, 2018
Montlake

One wrong move, and she meets a guy with all the right ones…

Talia Dalton lives her life on cruise control. Despite her successful career as a professor, she prefers protecting her broken heart to taking chances. She’s calm, cool, collected, and steady. Until the morning she takes her eyes off that familiar road and almost runs over the sexiest man she’s ever seen. It may not be the best way to start the day, but it might be the type of shake-up she needs.

Male dancer Derek Grant has goals, and nothing is going to get in the way of achieving them. As a graduate student and the sole caretaker of his ailing father, he hasn’t much time for relationships. Then Talia crashes into his life. Sweet, pretty—and so buttoned-up that he can’t wait to help her cut loose.

For Derek, falling in love was a beautiful accident waiting to happen. And it might be exactly what Talia needs—if she’s willing to let go of the past and embrace every surprise Derek has to offer.

LOVE LIKE OURS is being published by Montlake (an Amazon imprint) and won’t be available on other ebook retailers, but you can download a FREE Kindle ereader app to read it here, or order the paperback.

Talia is a teacher that isn't much for risk taking especially with her heart since she's had it broken before. Then the one risk that slipped though with her not quiet paying attention on the road almost hitting the hottest guy shes ever seen. From then on things get interesting. Derek is a dancer and bartender making ends meet while taking care of his father. He a man who knows what he wants and he has his eyes set on Talia.

I thought that this was an interesting and enjoyable book. I loved the connection, romance, and steamy scenes between the two. I loved the dual perspectives. I thought it was interesting getting Talia's take on things and how she was dealing with the fact that her boyfriend was a dancer and how her family would take the news when she tells them. I loved how loyal and loving Derek's character was he wasn't ashamed of his job and was willing to do everything he can to make sure that his father was taken care of. Overall this was a pretty great book, I pretty much devoured it from start to end. Highly Recommend!

Review : I Broke Into His Office

I Broke into his Office by Jessica Frances

Genre: Contemporary,  Romance

Pages: 329
He broke into his office, and had his heart stolen in return.

I broke into his office,
But I didn’t have a choice.
So what if he is good-looking?
So what if he is single?
So what if he is my type?
Why should it worry me that he could easily overpower me?
Who cares if what I’m doing is wrong and illegal?
I can’t second-guess myself, even if there is the possibility of more between us.
The risk is too great.
The threat all too real.
Unfortunately, my life is about to implode,
And the least of my problems is an irate private investigator.
When old threats return,
And new threats—mainly four scary women—attack,
The best thing I can do is just keep my head down and ride it out.
Then, why can’t I stop thinking about him?
Why do I find him so irresistible?
And what happens if I make one mistake and lose him forever?
Because this is quickly becoming far more than either of us could have ever imagined,
And the life and death stakes mean neither of us can mess up.
I can’t believe breaking into his office has led to all this.
Then again, as some people say: there is nothing quite like love at first … crime.

After reading the previous book and was impressed by this I had to know what was the deal with Harvey's story. I didn't even read the description to this book before getting into it, I had a feeling I was going to like it and turns out I was right. I loved getting to see Harvey and Nix and seeing him open up to someone other then Teagan. I loved seeing the attraction between the two, I loved seeing the true feelings one another had by seeing to know both of their point of view. I enjoyed the moments where Nix was struck with the ladies and seeing how they talked with one another. There is drama and suspense of wondering what was going to happen next. When things start to look good these guys just couldn't catch a break. Overall pretty great book, I still needs to see what previously happen in the first and second book and I really appreciate that I was able to get ahold of this book.
