Can two officers of the law outrun danger...and love?A Silver Valley P.D. Romance
When police psychologist Annie Fiero stumbles across a case of abuse in her hometown, she takes the assignment. In the process, she is reunited with her childhood friend Josh Avery, who is all grown up and a lethally handsome detective. But as Josh and Annie hunt down a vicious criminal, they must also resist deadly desire...
Annie is a police psychologist on sabbatical taking care of her grandmother's yarn shop when she comes across a abuse victim. She wants to do everything she can to help the person not knowing that there is something much bigger going on. Josh is one of the detectives helping out and once was a thing for Annie before they when their seperate ways. But now that she is back in town and managed to get herself on this case and will do everything he can to keep her safe while also trying to protect their heart.
Overall a pretty great mystery suspense type book. I really enjoyed it if there wasn't drama for the case, there was the romance between the two characters. I loved also hearing about Josh's sister and that she didn't fall of the face of the planet while the story was going. I loved seeing how they worked with his sister trying to get her a housing with adults like her but that she wasn't helpless and could fend for herself and had a personality. I loved seeing that connection between Josh and Annie and how they worked together. Overall this was a pretty great book and I really enjoyed it.
