Escape to the Chesapeake Bay, where beach life is full of love, surprises and second chances…

When an injury forces K-9 officer Trey Harrison onto the sidelines, his only thought is getting back to the police force where he belongs. And he’ll do anything to make that happen—even volunteer in a small waterfront community, just to please his boss. But no one ever said Trey had to enjoy it…

Since the surgery that destroyed her dreams of having children, schoolteacher Erica Rowe has grown even more dedicated to her work with at-risk teens. So she doesn't need some cop with a chip on his shoulder putting the program's future in jeopardy. But when Trey finally connects with the students, Erica's heart melts. And when, in a tender moment, he admits he longs to have children, her heart breaks. She's convinced he'd be better off with someone who can give him everything, but she can't seem to shake the hope that maybe love is enough…
K-9 Officer Trey is healing from an injury and until he can go back to work hes unwillingly working  as a vollenteer to keep an eye on troubled teens. Erica can't have children of her own and decided to take her maternal side towards caring for troubled teens as a teacher. Both seem to clash in the beginning but slowly start to soften towards one another. But things cant stay perfect when things in their lives start to take a turn.

There is so much going on to keep the readers hooked. I love that hate to like kinda romances and slowly but surly seeing them soften to one another. I loved seeing that romance that was forming between the two problem is that being that they work together it can cause issues. Getting to know the characters though the book you can't help but root for them being together and having everything their way. I loved that there was  a bit of drama here and there to keep things interesting. I loved seeing everyone work together and helping one another it was just sweet to see. Overall this was a cute clean contemporary romance novel and I really enjoyed it.
