Stepping into West Manhattan Saints, Dr Tessa Camara is stunned to discover the hospital’s new orthopaedic surgeon is Dr Clay Matthews — her ex! Four years apart did nothing to extinguish the fire between them, but she has never forgiven Clay for his betrayal…

Clay still doesn’t know why Tessa ended their relationship. And with his adorable little daughter, Molly, to consider, he doesn’t have time for Tessa’s independence issues. But resisting the passionate Brazilian woman, who once stole his heart, is easier said than done!

Review:

Dr.Tessa knew what it was like to not have enough money and to work for what she got. She was determined to put herself through college and make something for herself. Her life was veered off course when she finds that her (now) ex-boyfriend family was funding her college when she believed that she worked hard for it. She refuses to accept charity. Then there was the death of her mother that cause her to chance her course of study. Its been a while and she wasn't expecting to see him once again in the place she works at.

I really enjoyed this short story. As much as stubborn and prideful Tessa was I loved her characters and her determination is something to admire. I loved that she was able to get into a job she loves on her own. I liked that she was able to help those who were going through things like her mother, if she couldn't save her she could at least save others from going through her experience. I loved that spark that went through Tessa and Clay. I loved getting to see both of their point of views. Overall I really enjoyed this book. I was able to read this while on vacation and it was a pretty good escape to fall into.
