Wild Ones by Kristine Wyllys
Genre: Contemporary, Romance, New Adult
Soon, Luke is showing up everywhere Bri is, and she can't break free of his hold on her, nor does she want to. When her best friend turns on her, it's Luke who is there. When Luke's opponent comes after her to send Luke a message, it's he who comes to her rescue.
Before Bri knows it, she's caught in the midst of a rivalry between her boyfriend and her boss, both of whom are not content to settle their scores inside the ring. She swore she'd never live this life, so the one she once ran from. But only by confronting her past can she decide where her future lies…and whether Luke can be a part of it.
My Thoughts:Bri lived in a abusive home until she decided to run away. Its been years but Bri is doing ok for herself. In the bar she works at there was tension in the air, a fight would break out soon with a certain group. In that group was Luke. Sure enough a fight brakes out and Bri throws herself in the middle of it and stops the fight. But its then that they meet and an attraction stirs. The problem with Bri being with Luke is that he's a cage fighter, much like her own father. She refused to be like her mother and didn't want anything to do with cage fighters. against her better judgement she decides to look past her past and try to be with Luke.
Now I have conflicting feelings about this book. Although I enjoyed this book it felt scattered. It seems like there were many random occurrences without meaning. The steamy scenes were great. I liked the characters but I wish there was more to them then what was there. I thought the story line was interesting, but I don't know there was something off about this book. I feel like there was many unresolved issues. I think I'm going to rate this book a 3.5 of 5 Stars. I did like the book but I didn't love it.
