She cheated death once…But a killer still lurks. After a gunshot rips streetwise police officer Gina Galvan from the line of duty, all she wants is to return to the front line and stop a shooter. But good guy physical therapist Mike Cutler won’t back down from a challenge, or his blazing attraction to Gina. Without a badge or a gun, Mike is ready to face anyone—including a killer—to prove he’s every inch a hero.
Gina and her fellow partner was shot on duty that left him grazed and her heading to physical therapy. She refuses to let this injury get her down and Mike Cutler her physical therapist has this obvious attraction and refuses to let her do more then she should at the risk of hurting herself. With the news that there is a possible cop killer even while shes off duty she can't help but stick her self in trying to catch who is behind the shooting with Mike by her side.
I thought that this was a pretty good book. I was a bit a skeptical yet curious how this was going to play out. Being that shes a cop she must be strong willed and I was a bit worried that the author would turn the character to being a wilting flower soon as the guy came around being his chest showing who is the obvious alpha and savior even if he wasn't the cop and she is. I've unfortunately read a book like that. This book I can say with certainty is not like that at all. I loved that Gina was a strong willed women who will not back down for anything even with her limited use of hands. I loved that Mike wasn't about to stop her from doing what she had to do and was willing to be by her side and protect her or be a second eye if she needed it. This book was pretty good and I really enjoyed it.
