Last Hit: Reloaded

Nickolai & Daisy’s Story continues...
Hitman Series Book 2.5
There was a time when Nick loved the fear he instilled in his enemies. His tattoos alone promised danger, but it was the look in his eyes that delivered on it. A contract killer since he was just a boy, Nick has now forged a new life and a new identity with the woman who followed him, captured him, and changed him.

He terrified Daisy. Once. But she couldn't resist, and she ignored every warning. It paid off. Now she's part of a new beginning, a fresh start in America helping him to leave behind a reckless and violent past as a professional killer. But the past is never easy to outrun, especially when so much of it thrives on revenge.

A new threat has emerged from the shadows, and now Nick and Daisy have no choice but to rely on Nick's killer skills to protect them from everything they've tried so hard to escape.
Action, drama with a steam. There is so much to love about this novella. I loved that there was so much going on in such a short book. I loved watching Daisy protective side for a a new friend who was going through abuse much like her own in the past. I liked seeing the difference between her from the first book and now, its interesting to see that things that would've seemed impossible for her to think is coming forth showing how much shes changed since meeting Nick.

I recommend you lovely readers to check out this book. It's also perfect for you readers out there who are pressed for time but looking for a great book to read.

As he turns away, I call to him softly, “Detective McFadden, I would not endanger a soul on that campus. My beloved attends classes there, and it is my greatest desire that she be safe and happy. There are many reasons why I am not the man you seek.”
He swings back quickly. “I don’t think you are the university shooter, if that’s what you’re implying.”
“I imply nothing. I am responding to your litany of complaints and questions about my existence. Your attention does not frighten me, but do not mistake this. If you endanger Daisy or her father in any way, there will not be enough pieces left of you for even your loved ones to identify.”
At my threat, he gives me a bemused smile. “But you don’t give a rat’s ass about yourself?”
“I can take care of myself, Detective, and anyone that I love.” The chill is seeping into my bones, and I need to go inside and warm myself in the sunshine of Daisy’s love. “Good evening to you.” I nod and open the front door of the building.

"I want a hero. A big strong, handsome prince to come rescue me from my miserable life. But since one has not arrived, I must rescue myself."

Normally this wouldn't be the kind of book that I would get but who can pass up on a free book? I think it was the cover that got me interested in the book because I didn't even see the description of what this book was about. Also that I recognized Jen Federick's name from a previous book that I've read so I figured I'd give this book a chance.

"Nick is who he has been created to be, just like I am who my father shaped me into. A little mentally twisted, a little sick in the head, and a lot lonely and needing of love."

What I read was not at all what I was expecting. This book was interesting, suspenseful, and steamy. This was the first book that I've come a crossed where one of the main characters were a hit man, which made this book unique. I also liked hearing about the characters pasts which gave them them depth. I loved that there was the point of view of both Nikolai and Daisy, it helped me connect and enjoy the characters more. It also made the characters feel more real when I got both of theirs sides of the story. Both characters come from totally different backgrounds and they managed to complete each other. I loved the connection they had. This book was an intense and emotional roller coaster and I'm sure you readers will love this book as much as I did. 5 of 5 Stars!

Last Breath (bk 2)

Regan was kidnapped and was sent a brothel. When Daniel comes into the picture shes not sure what to think with him. After those couple of months in the brother and being used she's not sure she can trust any man. But slowly Daniel proves that there is more to him then meets the eye.

Daniel is on a search for his sister after she was kidnapped during a trip in Cancun. Since he was the one to convince her to go out there its up to him to find her. Along the way a friend asks for his help to also look for his girlfriends friend Regan. All he has to do is find her and send her back home, but Regan makes things difficult and he can't help but want her close to him.

There is so much to love about this book. The story line is unique and dark. Especially in the beginning people might be a little iffy about the book because of the dark subject matter but go on trust me you'll love the book. The characters were interesting and I loved that there was the point of view of both Daniel and Regan. There is loads of action and steamy scenes. I loved that after what Regan went through she was still a fighter, she had her moment of where she was down but it was to expected after what had happened to her. I loved everything about this book and that it was fast paced. I can't wait to see what happened in the next book.

Trust me when I say this is going to be one of those books that is hard to put down one you've started. I highly recommend you lovely readers to check out this book. 5 of 5 stars!

This is a pen name for Jill Myles.
Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.

After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.
