Blurb:

Bookish college sophomore Sydney Baker wants Evan Taylor with every ounce of her being. The hottest stud on campus, Evan is six foot four, ripped, stacked with muscles. He's even easy to talk to.

There's just one problem: he's her roommate Melanie's boyfriend.

But when Melanie tragically dies after a night of wild partying, Sydney and Evan turn to each other in a time of intense grief. And it doesn't take long for their close friendship to blossom into something more.

Unfortunately for Sydney, secrets from the past soon put her relationship with Evan to the test. Especially when a sexy blonde freshman makes her way into Evan's life, and tries to rip away everything Sydney holds close to her heart.

* * Mature Situations and Sexual Content - Recommended for Ages 17+ * *

My Thoughts:

Sydney hasn't had it easy it hasn't been long since her last boyfriend and she was in a drunk driving accident and he dies. When Sydney finally has her eyes on a guy and wants to date him the only thing is that he is her roommates boyfriend. When tragedy strikes Sydney now might have a chance with Evan but things get strained when her roommates sister comes into the pictures attending the same school as them.

Trust me when I say get the book and form your own opinion because this isn't the first book that I've come across with lousy reviews and actually turned out to be a hidden gem.

I actually loved this book and from the about the author section it says that this book is the authors first NA book and it was a great first try. There are little things here and there that I didn't like. For me the endings was great but felt like there was a couple loose ends. The way it ended made me feel like there was another book coming, not that its done. Not sure if that was intentional or if there really is another book coming out, that's just my guess. I really like the characters, Sydney was annoying at time, insecure a lot but I feel that there are many out there that can relate to them. Sydney just seems to be stuck in a world of bad luck and death. I liked that there was many things to keep me interested. What I at first didn't like was that it felt like it dragged and unnecessary but when I was reading further it turned out good because everything did end up connecting eventually. I liked that this book also incorporated school and classes into it. There are so many books that are set in NA genre that are in college and when the book is happening it doesnt seem like anyone ever goes to class or even studies.  Another thing I liked about this book was that it kept me guessing. At first I kept making predictions there was enough of my guesses that turned out right and some that I was wrong which is a good thing. If I can predictable too much of whats going on then it really isn't that unique of a book and can be dull, its like of like those things that people say "Been there done that". I liked that there was enough surprise to keep me interested and guessing what could happen next.

Overall I enjoyed this book, and think you readers will too. I recommend you check out this book! 4 of 5 Stars!
