“One dance, that’s all I’m asking for.”
Dreams don’t come true. That’s one thing that Sophie Becker knows for certain. Sophie spent the first nineteen years of her life dedicated to her dream of becoming a dancer, but when an injury ends her career as a performer, she struggles to find an anchor.
Now, a few years later, Sophie has tried to move on by opening a dance studio in the heart of Manhattan. She thinks she can hide from her pain, but it’s impossible in the face of daily reminders of the opportunities she has lost.
One night, a mysterious stranger walks into her studio, threatening to tear down the facade she has worked so hard to build up. Henry Medina is the reclusive CEO of Medina Properties and has a troubled past of his own. Henry is cocky, handsome and all he wants is to dance with Sophie.
When a dance becomes more than just a dance, will Sophie be able to handle the intense emotions that he stirs up? Will Henry reignite the passion in Sophie’s heart and heal her soul or will he leave her more broken than she was when he found her?
"Ma tutto comincia con un bacio, dolce."
Sophie was in an accident that ended her dancing career but she continued to be a dance instructor. She has lost the passion of dance, that was until the handsome Henry reminded her what it was like to love dance again. After Henry spotted Sophie dancing through her studio windows he had to just have once dance with the girl who stole his heart. At first he he wanted to pay for her just to instruct him to dance but the passion caused by the dancing brought these two together. To Henry money is no object and hes pretty wealthy, he's very much in the public eye. Sophie has seemed to catch unwanted attention by the gossip going around in the news and they must pretend to be dating to fix her reputation. But the more they are with each other the more the attraction grows.
"Honey, it's important to see a thing for what it is, and let it be that. There are always going to be a lot of outside influences...people, society, whatever... all trying to add their two cents. But you have to decide what's really what with your own mind and heart. Okay?"
"Words were one thing, but actions were another."
