Ever since super star, Arial Oakley, could remember, she's been in love with her hunky co-star Bryce Valentine. The only problem: Bryce has been in a relationship with another ac-tress for quite some time. Not wanting to be “the other woman”, Arial never pursued any of her feelings for him despite how well they connected.
When Bryce suddenly becomes single, both of their worlds are flipped upside down. To help him nurse his aching heart, Arial invites him back home to her family farm for some much needed peace and quiet from the paparazzi.
What neither of them expects is to fall in love: with the calm, with the country, with each other. But how much of it is real, and how much of it is a means to escape a broken heart?
My Thoughts:
"Change I can handle, but the unknown is what worries me. What's life without a little adventure, though?"Arial liked her co-star for a while but he was already in a relationship. After the film they were in was over they hoped to spend a little more time together so they both go back to Ariel's hometown. Bryce reveals that he and his longtime girlfriend broke it off and Arial wants to be there for him. Arial feels like this is a tough moment of his life so she doesn't want to push herself on him being newly broken up. She wants to wait for the right moment to tell him but if she tells him she's risking him rejecting her and ruining their friendship.
I enjoyed this quick and easy read. I loved that this book wasn't one of those cheesey instant love connections book (Don't get me wrong I love my instant connection books but this book was a breath of fresh air) At times I felt that this book went too slow and not enough conflicts, but the sweetness between the two is what kept me. I loved that this book had more than one point of view and that I got to see the true feelings behind the characters. I loved that each of them had a backstory that people can relate to.
Overall I enjoyed this sweet book and recommend you lovely readers to check out this book.
