Blurb:

Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. "Dance with me, Beth."

"No." I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again....

"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all...

My Thoughts:

"The words sting, but I struggle to keep the pain from surfacing. What more should I expect? He's everything that's right with the world. I'm everything wrong. Guys like him don't go for girls like me."
Beth came from a bad home to an uncle she felt abandoned her. Now she has to start anew whether she likes it or not. Beth will do everything she can to get her mother away from her abusive boyfriend. She'll risk everything to get her mother, best friend and herself out and run away where no one will find them.

Ryan is a baseball player who supposedly lives a perfect like. His life is far from perfect his parents constantly argue, his father kicked his brother out for being gay and he has no control over his future plans.

Ryan loves dares and thats what brought him and Beth together that day. When lines become crossed and the dare becomes something more Ryan and Beth take a chance to be with one another. Beth has dealt with so much and doesn't know now to trust Ryan and let him to be fully into her life. When things become strained and rumors are spread Beth run and ends up putting herself in danger.
“You're a lot like that bird in the barn. You're so scared that you're going to be caged in forever you can't see the way out. You smack yourself against the wall again and again and again. The door is open, Beth. Stop running in circles and walk out.”
There is so much I loved about this book, it was deep and intense. This book shows that you cannot judge a person from their past or for how they look, everyone has got a story. I love how this book isnt he normal teenage romance book.  Overall I loved this book and think you lovely readers should check it out.

"We all have our fears. Those things that exist in the dark corners of our mind that terrify us beyond belief."
While reading I couldn't help but wonder about Isaiah, and I just found out I have a chance to read his story and that it would be the book 3 to this, which means this book is the second book to the Pushing The Limits series. Which also means I not only have to get to the third book but the first one as well. What I love about this is that there is no specific order to this series. That you can jump right into the middle and not miss a thing. I mean there might be more to it but I wouldn't know cause I haven't read the first book.
