Blurb:

Decades after being banished from Heaven for saving a life he shouldn’t have, Lash is given a chance to redeem himself. His mission: protect Naomi Duran, a young woman who has lost her faith. The assignment proves to be anything but simple when his superiors, the Archangels, withhold key information about Naomi and refuse to restore Lash’s powers. When an unexpected source reveals centuries-old secrets, his trust is shaken to the core, and he begins to doubt those whom he had once considered to be his greatest allies.

Determined to avoid anything that would risk his chances of returning to Heaven, Lash struggles with the greatest obstacle of all—his growing feelings for Naomi. But when her life is threatened by an unknown source, Lash questions the wisdom of the Archangels and his ability to keep her safe.

Soon, Lash will have to choose where to place his faith—in the home he has fought so hard to regain or in the forbidden love he can’t bear to lose.

My Thoughts:

* * I received a free copy of the book for an honest review * *

Lash is an angel who had made a mistake of saving a life without being told to do so and was punished to live on earth as a human with limited powers. To redeem himself he is sent on a mission to protect Naomi what he didn't expect was to fall for her so quickly.

Naomi just wouldn't let things be when her father died when he was supposedly "drunk" driving and lost his life. She wasn't just going to stand there and be quiet, so she went to voice her opinion where it shouldn't be, catching the eye of people who want her out the way. Naomi just couldn't keep her head on straight, depresses about her father and knowing there won't be justice. When she landed in the hospital she was told to go to group therapy with Lash. She just couldn't keep her eyes off of him. When a series of near death experiences Lash reveals his true nature and the reason why he's around.

Other then having to do a book blitz and finding out that I can get a hold of this book for free from NetGalley for a review, it was the cover the drawn me in. The cover is beautifully done and well suits the book.

I really enjoyed this well-written book. I liked that it wasn't expected. I loved that there was always something going on. Many different near death experiences had me at the edge of my seat wanting to know just what happened next. I liked the characters. I liked that there was two point of views of Naomi and Lash. I loved how smart, clever, loving and caring she is. I loved the connection between both characters. I loved how there was depth and mystery within the book and how this book was unpredictable.

Overall I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next  book to this. Highly Recommend!
