Will they make it?
Wyatt Larrabee thought adopting twin boys and moving back home to Legacy Canyon, Texas, would be tough. Turns out, fending off unwanted attention from women after a TV interview about his adorable new sons is even tougher. And now a random blind date? Between daddy duty, ranch chores and his job, love is not in the cards for Wyatt.
Pediatrician Madi Brennan agrees to another date to appease her matchmaking grandmother before Madi must eventually return to Boston. But when she meets Wyatt, a plan forms: pretend to date to discourage nosy meddlers. Spending time together to keep up appearances, Wyatt and Madi realize their attraction is very real. With two hearts at stake, will love call their bluff with a full house?
Madi's a pediatrician who is temporarily helping her grandmother with her shop as she waits to transition to her new job. Wyatt back in his hometown as a single dad to hit his adoptive twin boys and is looking for the sense of community that comes with living here and starting a new job. Problem is the local matchmaking committee is looking to be a hassle by setting him up with Madi who is only in town for a short while when they decide to come up with a fake dating situation clearly we know how this is going to end.
So they were really playing up the Fake Dating Trope when it came to this book. Even the characters clearly knew this was a bad idea but they went for it anyways. It was obvious they were going to fall for each other but I enjoyed seeing the path they had taken and the choices they were making towards everything that went on. Then there was the whole parents issue in not being able to communicate well in both sides I think and Wyatt's father isn't much of a communicator and is kinda gruff when it comes to what he says and Madi just wants to make her parents proud and just do things they say rather then considering herself. I loved how everything 0was done with the best intention but came with unexpected consequences and it was interesting. Overall really good quick read I enjoyed it.
