Will two struggling hockey players grab their second chance at love, or will it slide right through their grasp?

Newly retired hockey star Aiden Campbell should be a man with no regrets. Instead he is consumed by them. When he runs into his ex in New York City ten years after they broke up, he’ll have to confront his biggest regret of them all. Montreal hockey captain Matt Safaryan never expected to see his old flame again. Now that he has, he can’t forget what they had, no matter how badly Aiden hurt him. Which is why Matt finds himself on Aiden’s doorstep late at night with only a deep want driving him. One passionate night has them hooked all over again, but great sex was never the problem. Life after hockey has left Aiden adrift. Watching Matt push himself through chronic injuries isn’t helping, but this time around they’re determined to make this thing between them last. If only they can rebuild the trust they destroyed a decade ago. Giving their relationship a second chance might cut sharper than a blade, but it may also end up being their best play ever.
Aiden is a recently retired hockey player who seems to have lost his way. Now that the one thing that made his life worthwhile is out of the picture he doesn't know what to do with him self. When he runs into his ex Matt its clear old feelings are there but clearly Aiden is going through something and offers a change of scenery at his place platonically. The longer they are around eachother the more more they consider in starting something again but also need to eventually face the fact that Aiden is in a complicated moment of his life and needs to figure things around where they go from here.

This book to be honest dragged for me I guess I'm too used to my fast paced books but then again this really helped in getting to me to really get the character and see how complicated things truly where. Aiden really was going through a mental health crisis and isnt' much for getting help and was trying to figure things out and doing things he doesn't normally do like reach out and talk to people instead of avoiding things. If you like books that feature second chances you'll enjoy this book. Matt really wanted to be there and help Aiden out in the ways that he could but its up to Aiden truly in the end to figure things out for himself but made sure to make it clear he was lending out a hand to help when he needs it. I really liked when Aiden's mom popped up from time to time she's a concerned mother and doesn't matter how old her kids get she really wants to be there for Aiden and I really liked the support system Aiden surrounded himself with he really was a good but complicated guy Overall this was a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.
