Heartbroken after Max chose his mountaineering dreams over her, Hayley is determined to guard her heart against him, even as he steps in to help her with babysitting duties for his infant sister. As Max slowly regains fragments of his past and buried feelings resurface, can Hayley convince him to stay…for a second chance at happiness?Max was in a Mountaineering accident presumed dead by his loved ones until he shows up after 2 years with a traumatic brain injury and a injured leg. Haley is a physical therapist who had a past with Max but he left her broken hearted but since he can't remember that it's a complicated situation both of them are dealing with. He can only be told a little bit of past and clearly they both have a complicated thing going on between each other especially since they love each other's company.
Personally I found this book pretty slow read but overall a nice enjoyable one. It was interesting seeing how everyone was impacted by what happened to Max and what Max was trying to do assimilate and figure out his old life and memories while also forming new ones. And you know Mountaineering and that kind of active lifestyle is definitely what's in his heart because even with the memory loss he knew he was meant to be doing certain things which made it a little hard for Haley because it was that dangerous behavior that separated them in the first place. Overall it's pretty good book I really enjoyed it.
