They’re dodging a killer

And finding each other

Biophysicist Dr. Priscilla Pell fears for her life—and the life of her unborn child. Living in the mansion where she’s still unwelcome among her late husband’s family, she doesn’t know whether the threats are coming from inside or outside. That’s why she hires professional security. She’s grateful for Blade Sparks’s around-the-clock protection, but his constant presence makes it impossible to ignore the effect he has on her. After a Christmas-shopping excursion that should be a distraction takes a lethal turn, Priscilla and Blade can no longer pretend that their relationship is purely professional…

Dr Priscilla is a pregnant biophysicist and it appears that her life is in danger after her husband passes away it's clear someone is coming after so she hires a bodyguard. With her late husband's family thinking she's just a gold digger and those close to her skeptical about his death it looks like no one is really on her side. Thankfully the bodyguard Blade is there to help as he attempts to keep her alive this holiday season, he has to also work on fighting the attraction they both seem to have.

Okay so to be fair and to be honest this book had me rolling my eyes so many times. Priscilla seem to be both smart and dumb with a lot of her choices. Then there was Blade who seemed kind of pretty terrible at his job as a bodyguard. With so many attempts at her life I am amazed he kept his job if he wasn't so pretty lucky I guess he wouldn't have been around. Aside from that book was good I did enjoy it and it was kind of in the suspenseful category wondering when something would happen enjoy which I did really enjoy. It's just that the connection between Blade and Priscilla just kind of annoyed me. Overall this book was pretty okay and this is a good time to read it because it does take place during the holiday season.
