A three-week retreat…

Could be life changing

Kate Hoyle came to Camp True North Springs to help her grieving children heal. She definitely didn’t come here to fall in love. But camp chef Seb Costa, working through a recovery of his own, soon cooks his way into the affections of Kate’s family—especially that of her troubled son. Would risking her heart when it’s barely mended be foolish? Or will they find the happiness they all deserve?
Kate and her children are at Camp True North Springs to help with the grief of losing her husband. Camp True North is known for helping those who have been dealing with trauma and grief and the camp chef said is on his own journey of recovery. It seems that her children have taken a liking to the chef helping them out in any way that he can and it seems to be also winning over Kate. Meanwhile both are unsure of the future for themselves much less if they end up being together.

This was a pretty sweet and heartwarming book. Everyone had their own grief and Trauma and this Camp was a reprieve from everything they were dealing with a moment to just be themselves and enjoy life for their time being. It was interesting seeing what kind of things each side we're dealing with me and Kate and the children were dealing with the trauma of the father/husband being killed taken away from them so suddenly. And Seb was dealing with abuse of painkillers after being hurt and ended up leading to his addiction. He was surrounded by so much temptation but he was doing as much as he can to keep on the straight and narrow. That was just so much support going around for everyone intertwining and helping each other and I enjoyed seeing how everything played out. There was a little drama here and there but that kept the things all the more interesting nothing to be too perfect. Overall this is a really good book I really enjoyed it.
