Deirdra is a hardworking lawyer who is feeling underappreciated and takes a bit of time off to see her family maybe then her place of employment would see what things would be like without her. Thing is she's going back to her hometown and revisiting old memories that she would rather not deal with. Having to be the one to take care of her mother and siblings she had to grow up fast and give up alot. She's a serious person and Jagger is everything she's not. He's free spirited with little tying him down and he just might be the thing to loosen her up a bit.

There was so much up an downs with this book but one thing that remained that same was how much I was enjoying this book. I loved getting to know the characters. It was clear they came from different backgrounds and it was tough seeing Deirdra's past. She gave up so much to help her family and refused to be seen anything like her mother. Being back to her hometown dealing with old memories has to be hard but with the help of Jagger she was able to see more then what she remember. While she was remembering the bad times Jagger was helping her see some of the goodtime with her mother. Then theres the whole Jagger being a free spirit, who she sees as a slacker but eventually warms up to him. I loved seeing that change in her and seeing the romance progress. Like most things this short hiatus will come to and end decisions will need to be made and overall it was interesting how it turned out. I really did enjoy that romance between Deirdra and Jagger they were a perfect match!
