K-9 HOLIDAY RESCUE
Surviving Christmas by Valerie Hansen

When single dad Sean Murray returns from a war zone and discovers someone is following him, he turns to his old friend K-9 officer Zoe Trent for help. But as the threat escalates, can Zoe and her police dog find whoever is menacing Sean and his son…and make sure this Christmas isn't their last?

Holiday High Alert by Lenora Worth

After a cryptic note appears in the playground at Josie Callahan's daycare center, rookie K-9 officer Dalton West vows to protect Josie and the kids she loves—especially his daughter, Maisy. And with a stalker closing in, the widower and his four-legged partner are all that stand between Josie and a deadly Christmas.

I really enjoyed Surviving Christmas. I loved that even if this was a brief book (Novella) it had loads going on to keep the readers interested. I loved getting to see that bit of progression of the son and seeing him improve with the help of new friends and the K9 dog. I liked seeing Sean questioning and gaining his faith back. I loved seeing the connection between Sean and josie. Then lets not forget the drama and suspense going on with who was coming after Sean I mean from page on things were constantly going on and his PSTD left him and those around him question if whats going on is really paranoia or if someone really has something out for him. Overall a really good suspenseful novella. Really packed a punch.

Just finished Holiday High Alert and it was pretty great as well. I loved getting to see the character's brief lives and how they deal with the cryptic messages and how everything gets solved in the end. I love how the author keeps the readers on their toes. I really enjoyed this perfect for small reading escapes I needs to get through this stressful holiday season.
