Synopsis:

The last thing Jamie Watson wants is a rugby scholarship to Sherringford, a Connecticut prep school just an hour away from his estranged father. But that’s not the only complication: Sherringford is also home to Charlotte Holmes, the famous detective’s great-great-great-granddaughter, who has inherited not only Sherlock’s genius but also his volatile temperament. From everything Jamie has heard about Charlotte, it seems safer to admire her from afar.

From the moment they meet, there’s a tense energy between them, and they seem more destined to be rivals than anything else. But when a Sherringford student dies under suspicious circumstances, ripped straight from the most terrifying of the Sherlock Holmes stories, Jamie can no longer afford to keep his distance. Jamie and Charlotte are being framed for murder, and only Charlotte can clear their names. But danger is mounting and nowhere is safe—and the only people they can trust are each other.

A Study in Charlotte is the first in a trilogy.

Review:

This book is is about the descendants of Sherlock Holmes and Watson, and they pretty much grown up as you'd expect. This is pretty much a modern version of their books I suppose, just a sort of updated version.

Overall I really did like this book it was enjoyable. The kind book that keep you on your toes. I loved that there was plenty going on to keep me interesting. I loved that there was many possibilities that point towards different people. I just couldn't figure out who was try to frame Charlotte. I thought it was interesting getting to know about Charlotte and Watson getting to find out how they grew up and why they did eventually end up in a common place. I thought it was interesting getting know a bit about Moriarty and how his descendants had their part in Charlotte's life. Overall I thought that this was a great book and I look forward to seeing more from this author in the other books that are to come. I was pretty excited when I found out that there are going to be more book after.
