Tour : Sing for Me

 Escape Into A Book

Confession. I am a workaholic. I have a day job working as a bookkeeper, and it comes with a fifty minute commute each way. I spent a lot of time away from my writing, so, when I get home at night and on weekends, I tend to go nuts and work until my fingers cramp. Family is forsaken, friends haven’t seen me in forever, and I put my hair up in a bun so often I kinda forgot to get a haircut…for the past eight months. Needless to say, I have a LOT of shows queued on Netflix waiting to be watched.

Here are Gracie’s Top Ten Favorite Shows To Watch When Not Writing

  1. Sons of Anarchy – Another Confession…oh my god bikers. I love bikers. This show has some of the best writing and character development ever. (Don’t tell me how it ends! I’m still catching up!)
  1. Friends – A classic! Admit it, how many of you clap during the theme song? Could we BE any happier it’s finally on Netflix?
  1. Gilmore Girls – Luke. The end. That’s it. It always has been Luke, it will always be Luke. Also, my favorite part ever
  1. Breaking Bad—So, my husband is an analytical chemist. He makes the show…fun, especially when he predicts what will happen based on the chemicals used in the show. We have stopped watching for 45 minutes before so he could draw me compounds and bond pairs and all sorts of things I don’t quite remember from Intro to Chemistry in college. ;)
  1. Futurama – One of the best shows! We’ve seen all the episodes multiple times—Except for Jurassic Bark. Once was enough, thank you.
  1. Arrested Development—Probably the greatest show people never watched, and I’m so glad it was on Netflix to watch. The writing and characters and plot is absolutely brilliant. Family dinners with my in-laws are primarily excuses to quote parts of the show to each other. I can’t recommend it enough!
  1. Scrubs – This show got me through college. I probably have most of the episodes memorized.
  1. LOST – I know, everyone said the ending was a cop out. But it’s on Netflix. Watch it again. Like, really watch it. All the questions are actually answered, and it’s SUCH a great show! The writing and character development is great—I love Sayid so much. Also, it spawned so many great songs and videos. (Spoilers!)
  1. Xena – Guilty pleasure. I’ve seen them all, and I’m not even embarrassed. They’re so much fun! Except Joxer. Replace him with crazy Calisto and you have a great show!
  1. Doctor Who – Don’t Blink. Okay, I’m going just say it. Tenant, favorite Doctor. Favorite Companion? …Donna! The chemistry between those two was just awesome! Non-romantic, friendly, and challenging. Just what 10 needed.

Madeline Noel fled war-torn Heaven to hide within the mortal world, but the blessing that could protect her from evil is the holy realm’s forbidden power.
As a talented soprano for the Eden Theatre Company, Madeline hides among prima donnas and tone-deaf flutists. Her perfect voice may entertain audiences, but a careless laugh may shatter glass, and her greatest scream can kill. To control her unrestrained voice, the angels forbid Madeline from embracing the emotions that strengthen her song. Anger. Fear.
Love.
The demon-hunter Damascus vows to defend Madeline from Hell’s relentless evil, but he cannot protect her from her own feelings. Though they deny their dangerous attraction, her guardian becomes her greatest temptation.
Surrendering to desire may awaken the gift suppressed within Madeline’s soul, and neither Heaven nor Hell will allow such absolute power to exist.

Gracie Madison would spend every day, all day writing…if it were socially acceptable.  Ever since she was a little girl scribbling with a crayon, Gracie’s dedicated herself to her books and all the supernatural and paranormal, creepy and beautiful stories and characters born within the pages. Now Gracie is committed to finally sharing those books with the world.  When the laptop is pried from her hands, Gracie is probably working her day job, rooting on the Steelers, or out with her husband searching for Pittsburgh’s best sushi.
