He’s utterly alone…

Tortured and existing in a dark spiral of despair, bestselling British author, Gavin Cooke, has come to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to escape the seedy lifestyle he had been living in London and in a desperate attempt to regain his writing focus. He’s twisted, bitter and angry at the world. He’s a loner… needing not a single thing other than his Scotch and a laptop upon which he can bang out his next erotic, dark thriller.

She’s running in place and getting nowhere…

Savannah Shepherd’s life is falling apart. Her dream of being a wildlife photographer seems a distant memory and she’s barely able to make ends meet. Driving herself forward with no clear goals apparent, she’s about ready to pack up her bags and head home with her tail between her legs.

Two unlikely lovers…

He’s raw, forceful and a dirty talker. She’s a flowers and romance type of girl. Yet within each other, they find a mutual craving that can only be satisfied by giving in to their desires for one another.

Lust turns into something more… something they were not looking for but tentatively accept. Will it be enough to push them past the obstacles of Gavin’s bitter past?

Review:

Savannah is working to the bone to earn a living cleaning up peoples houses and dealing working with a photographer who harasses her on a daily basis. When Gavin a writer who has his own issues to deal with and trying to drown his problems with women and booze. Needing a cleaning lady for his house he hires the sweet and lovely Savannah.  Gavin is twisted and looking to break Savannah but soon realized that they may just want more in each other.

I've never came across a book by Sawyer Bennett that isn't fantastic. By that you can see how much I enjoyed the book. There is enough suspense of when they'll be together, drama, and steam to keep the readers hooked to the book. I loved each character, I loved that Gavin was able to push Savannah to be less timid. Gavin was a whole lot of hotness but he's a but I agree with Savannah that he's a bit (ok more than a bit ) of an a-hole. I loved how protective Brody was. The story line was interesting and book was of course well written. This is apart of a series but it does well as a stand alone. I highly recommend that you read all the books though because you'll appreciate each character you come across even more. Overall this book was fantastic 5 of 5 stars!

Reviews of other books in the Last Call Series

On The Rocks (Book 1)

Review :

Gabby has always had a thing for her best friends older brother and on her graduation day she took the chance to kiss him. Which then led to him rejecting her. Its been years since then and hunter is retiring from his surfing career to open a bar. Hunter hired Gabby to fix his bar and shes still a bit bitter. The more they work together on the bar the more harder it is to deny that attraction.

When I was offered a chance to get an ARC of this book I was sure to jump on the chance. Sawyer Bennett is such a fantastic author and I've never been disappointed. That goes to say that I loved this book. This is a book on second chances and I loved watching the connection between Gabby and Hunter. I loved that I got both point of views of the main characters. I really enjoyed the characters, I was especially curious about Brody and Alyssa and can't wait to see their story. This book was well written, fast paced and full of steamy moments.5 of 5 Stars!

Make is double (Book 2)

Review:

Brody had been in jail for 5 years and has been harboring a secret from everyone hes close to. He would rather let things go as is and be over with it. His parole officer says he needs to do community service as part of his agreement.

Alyssa runs a animal haven and needs all the help she can get. There is so much to do so little time if that wasn't bad enough her Ex seems to stalking her. When Brody lends her a helping hand she's less then thrilled but it helped get the job done. Little did they both know that the attraction between the two become undeniable.

I really enjoyed this book. The story line was interesting with a bit of some twists and turns and steamy scenes. I loved the characters and love that there was the dual point of view with Brody and Alyssa. I just overall loved this book and think you readers will too. I highly recommend you lovely readers check out the first book, if not it'll be fine I just think you readers will appreciate his characters more if you got to know a teeny bit more on his character before this book. 4.5 of 5 stars!
