Shadow Shifters: Damaged Hearts—a deeply emotional, unforgettable New Adult paranormal romance series by A.C. Arthur about the men who are sworn to protect the females—human or otherwise—from the savage fury of his own nature…

Lidia Morales has always felt out of place. The one stable presence in her childhood has always been Brayden. Every major moment, every growing pain, everything in her life has been shared with him since they were little, so it makes sense to her that they will stay friends at college together. Until one night, emotions are revealed in a heated kiss, and Lidia’s world is turned upside down. Brayden has always been just a friend and she knows she should look somewhere else for love. But the memory of the passion between them is undeniable—and Brayden isn’t about to let her forget it. As trouble brews, Lidia may need Brayden more than she realized and Brayden will do whatever it takes to convince her that they are soulmates…bonded for life, in Part of Me by A.C. Arthur.

Hunger for You coming June 10, 2014!  And don’t miss Mine to Claim, available now.

My Thoughts:

When everything seemed to go wrong for Lidia, the one thing that was the constant good in her life was her best friend Brayden. After a heated kiss Lidia knew things would change but she refuses to let her attraction for her best friend changer her course of wanting a normal life as a teacher. Should she be with him then she knows that she'll end up being tied to being a shapeshifter and all the responsibility that goes with it. All she wants is the choice to be herself.

I really enjoyed this short little steamy book. I loved the connection between Lidia and Brayden. I liked that I got to see a bit more into their shapeshifter type of world but wish I knew more about it. The characters were interesting and I loved that there was more then one point of view so I got to understand where they were coming from in the choices that they make. I loved that there was enough drama and action to keep me interested and that it was fast paced. This short story really packs a punch and I highly recommend you lovely readers to check it out.

Grace Kincaid has been trapped her whole life. Controlled in every way by her domineering parents, she has never had any moment of excitement or passion in all her eighteen years. When a rare night out with a friend ends in violence, Grace believes that perhaps her parents are right to keep her under lock and key. There’s just one problem—she can’t get the irresistibly sexy, mysterious man who saved her from danger out of her head. She knows she should go back to her safe world, but her newfound passion for life—and for her enigmatic protector—are making that impossible…

Despite his strength and power, Aidan Sanchez cannot escape. Bound by his Shifter bloodline, he is repulsed by the very attributes his family wishes him to embrace. His main goal is to keep his more dangerous…hungers… under wraps. But when a fight at a club forces Aidan to protect the most alluring woman he’s ever seen, there’s no turning back. He knows he shouldn’t drag her into his world, but she’s awakened a fire within him, and for once, he’s willing to lose control if it means having Grace…

My Thoughts:

I really liked this this book, it was short with enough drama and romance to keep me till the ending. Now my thing is that this book is labeled under paranormal, and shapeshifters but it didn't seem like that at all until the very end. I loved the connection between Aiden and Grace and would like to see more about them and what happens after this book. My only problem with the ending was that it felt a little rushed. I wished there was more to this book, because it skimmed over the characters as well as other things. I would've liked to seen more about the characters background and the group that Aiden was apart of, where is started and all that. Overall this was an enjoyable short read.

I just wanted to point out that this is a great book if you have a short amount of time, I would consider this book a novella more then anything because of how short it was. It only took me a hour or so to read which is pretty good for me since its time for exams and only got a little time to spare.
