Still
reeling from the death of her father, Alexandria hopes to find both
independence and reprieve from her grief by heading off to college.
However, life throws her a serious curveball when she discovers that
her roommate isn’t quite the person she imagined it would be.
Smoking,
tattoos, and drag racing for fast cash are Elijah’s only interests.
A harsh life has made him apathetic and indifferent, until Alexandria
enters his life. When their paths cross, turmoil abounds.
An
inevitable encounter, an undeniable attraction, and an unexpected
chance at love—will it be enough?
Here is what bloggers are saying about the early ARC.
“Grab your tissue box, it will come in handy as M. Clarke/Mary Ting pulls each tender heart string right from the beginning of this touching love story!”
“At first glance, no one would believe Elijah’s tough guy exterior hides a genuine and giving heart. But, you cannot help whom you fall in love with and when opposites attract, the chemistry is undeniable!” –InD’tale Magazine

“Through the darkness of our pasts, we are all looking for a little clarity. For Alexandria, Elijah could be just that. My Clarity is a story of love and hope, that through the hardest times we find clarity in each other.” Spare Time Book Blog

From Alexandria’s point of view
“Alex,”
he called softly with a smooth, seductive tone. At least that is how
it rang in my ears.
Slowly
gazing up, I jerked back and hit the back part of the sofa when I saw
his face far too close to mine. With his knees bent, his hands placed
on either side of the sofa cushion, near my thighs. My heart went
into overdrive as my eyes outlined his muscular biceps, up to his
shoulder, his dark stubbles, and then…bam! My eyes were deadlocked
on his.
Frozen in place, I
was mesmerized. His piercing brown eyes sucked me in. I wanted to
trace his thick brows with the tips of my fingers, down to the
perfect base of his nose, around his high check bones, and across his
smooth, kissable lips. Swallowing a nervous gulp, feeling little
tremors rush through every part of me, I swear, I felt like I was
shrinking…dissolving into the sofa…melting into his scent. Though
I had expected him to smell like cigarettes being this close to him,
he actually smelled nice—minty.
Holding
me captive with that look, I knew at that moment, he would be my
fantasy, the one I would dream about in bed—the bad boy with the
tattoos, with that arrogant attitude. The heartbreaker…if only he
drove a motorcycle and wore a leather jacket, he would be the
complete badass package.

Ting resides in Southern California with her husband and two
children. She enjoys oil painting and making jewelry. Writing her
first novel, Crossroads Saga, happened by chance. It was a way to
grieve the death of her beloved grandmother, and inspired by a dream
she once had as a young girl. When she started reading new adult
novels, she fell in love with the genre. It was the reason she had to
write one-Something
Great. Why the pen name, M Clarke? She tours
