Then it all changed.
I was sold.”

Tess Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling bright with possibility.

For their two year anniversary, Brax surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday. With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess is on top of the world.

But lusty paradise is shattered.

Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror.

Captive and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it can’t save her from the horror of being sold.

Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever?

My Thoughts:

"Three little words that terrified, stole my breath, and made my life flicker before my eyes. Three little words. : I was sold"
As a surprise Tess's boyfriend Brett takes them on a romantic getaway in Mexico, to Tess this would be the perfect time to reveal to him about her dark desires. The last thing Tess ever expected was to be kidnapped and sold in human trafficking as a slave. Never giving up that spark within her, Tess was determined to get out and find her way back home. Upon meeting her new master, he was nothing Tess ever expected.

"But as I ran, my faith in humanity died a fiery death. All my life, I believed in the goodness of people. Never seeing darkness for myself. But now, I hated everyone, suspected everything. Another part was broken: the ability to trust."

I found this book to be emotional and captivating. This book was an emotional rollercoaster. I loved that Tess is a strong women who had a lot of fire in her and wouldn't let much bring her down. Even when she was brought down, Q helped her make terrifying memories into pleasurable ones. I loved and hated Q. If you read the book you'll understand what I mean. This book is very dark and gruesome at times.

It's definitely not for those who are weak of heart this book has rape, slavery, and is heart breaking at times. I loved that eventually I got to know Q's story towards the ending I was worried that I couldn't know the reason to why he is the way he is and why he chose the life he's living.

Overall I loved this book and Highly Recommend. Worth the 5 stars.

"Keep fighting, Tess. Never stop fighting."
