Seven years ago, Matthew Logan ran out on his wedding to June Leigh.
Life is good for fledgling dress-designer April Leigh. She couldn’t be happier that her sister has found a new love, and is excited about her very first commission, June’s wedding dress.
When April discovers June has invited runaway groom Matthew Logan to the wedding, she has to intervene. Matthew’s presence will ruin everything – her father hates him, and just the sight of him in the church might give her mother a heart attack.
Matthew Logan has no intention of going to June’s wedding, but when intriguing April arrives on his doorstep, he can’t resist getting to know her better. When a disaster forces them together neither can deny the passion that combusts into a red-hot affair.
Discovering the truth about the past shifts April’s feelings from lust to love, but bitter experience has taught Matthew to guard his heart.
When it looks as though Matthew will lose her forever, will he fight or flee?
My Thoughts:
April's life is good, she has a decent job, great apartment, and loves working on a line of wedding dresses. When April's older sister June is having a wedding and wants to wear one of April designs she was happy, what put a damper on things was learning June invited Matthew. Matthew was supposed to marry June seven years ago but ran out on her, no one could forgive him. To make sure Matthew doesn't show, April goes to see Matthew herself to ask him now to be there. What she didn't expect was how hott Matthew had turned out after all this time. When a disaster occurs April is left homeless, jobless and has to start over her designs. Matthew takes it upon himself to take her in until she gets everything settled. Little did they know they were going to fall for each other. As the wedding gets closer, its getting harder to keep it a secret about their relationship. After everything will her family approve?I enjoyed this book, I just couldn't put it down. I really liked the characters and their backstories. I liked that nothing turned out as I expected. It was fun, sweet and unpredictable. I liked that I got the real reason that Matthew turned out to be the runaway groom. I loved the attraction and chemistry between April and Matthew. I love that this book had two point of views which made a lot of their actions understandable because I could see their reasoning.
Overall I enjoyed this quick and easy read and recommend you lovely readers to check it out.
