A killer in deadly pursuit
means nowhere is safe.

When a planted bomb detonates in her car, former army investigator Melanie Shaw knows that her witness protection cover has been compromised. Suspecting that this was an inside job, she turns to the only person she can her former love, Elliott Weiss…the man she once mistakenly accused of a crime. Despite their rocky history, Elliott will do anything to take down her attackers, especially when it becomes clear there’s a target on his back too. But when secrets from the past are exposed and an old enemy reappears bent on revenge, one wrong move could be their last…

Melanie's on the run in the witness protection after finding out her cozy little spot has been discovered. She was a former Army investigator and that kind of letter into what is going on and seems to have run into Elliot who is on the rocks with her because of her dipping after she making it seem like he was doing wrong when she was just tricked. Meanwhile over here Elliot was just stabbed earlier that day unsure of what even was the deal with that and now it might be in connection. She's got them both on the run now so they can figure out and stop who is coming after them and why.

I really enjoyed this book it was a really suspenseful mysterious book. I mean there are plenty like this but if you like the genre you kind of know what to expect at this book did find its way to making it sound interesting certain aspects of the books becoming unique in its own way. This book was heavy on the faith so if you like that then you're like this. Elliot really wasn't into faith but he was really opening his heart towards his face throughout this book. This was a clean read as well which I appreciate. I enjoyed saying that connection between the two they both had feelings before and now with this whole situation makes things all the more complicated but it was interesting seeing that attraction. I enjoyed that I kept questioning when things would happen and then there was a whole stabbing the thing so wondering when things would pan out with that as well cuz that made things all the more stressful too. Overall this is a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.
