Seeking refuge from danger

with threats at every turn

When her daughter is the only witness able to identify a group of bank robbers, single mom Penny Jackson knows their lives are in danger. These men will do anything to keep Missy quiet—permanently. Escaping to a small Texas town was supposed to be safe, but when the criminals track them down, police chief Caleb Harmon becomes their only hope for survival…
Penny and her daughter are on the run after her daughter witnessed some bank robbers faces and now can identify them. Clearly they don't want to get caught and now keep going after her. One on the instances of them being nearly caught again Caleb the local police chief will do everything he can to protect these two by all means.

I really enjoyed this book. There was just so much going on that I couldn't put it down. Penny's daughter was so young and deeply disturbed by all that is happening and by her actions it really shows. Penny would do just about anything to protect her child and its that fierce protection that caught Caleb's eye and it was interesting seeing how he played his part. He though he could simply put her in witness protection and that it all done but it was more then just that as bodies pile up and plenty of close calls happen and it was interesting seeing how they got through everything and how it eventually ended. Overall really great book if if you like suspense mystery books.
